My favorite restaurant in Tucson by a mile. The food is creative and well-prepared and the beverage program is wonderful. Highly recommend sitting at the bar and getting the set menu with beverage pairing.

Had the "let us pick for you" menu, which included some things not on the written menu. Everything was delicious, and I would definitely do that again. Service was impeccable. Staff were attentive and so helpful. I can't say enough good things.
This was an all around fantastic evening. We did the chef's choice tasting menu which did not disappoint. The level of detail spent on each item was apparent. All the accolades given to Chef Tyler Fenton and his crew are well deserved!
Excellent food, interesting flavors, perfectly cooked. They provided a special menu for one member of the party with food sensitivities. We loved it.
My husband and I celebrated my birthday at Bata, as we have several special occasions over the last year. Everything was delightful.
This was such an amazing dinning experience! Not only was the food amazing but the service was outstanding! Our waiter had wonderful suggestions which we took and am very grateful for ! A very special experience

This was my initial dinner at Bata. The entire experience was fabulous. The food and drinks were excellent. The server was very attentive and explained each and every plate. He even ordered food selections for a food sensitivity. The desserts did not disappoint.

We love this place! We have done both the tasting menu and ordered directly from the menu. It never disappoints! The family style tasting menu is a lot of food but smaller portions as it is a taste of lots of different items both on and off the menu. The food is fresh, creative - often leaving us going hmm we would have never thought of that combo. Thank you!

BATA is a gem in Tucson. The chef is an artist and a master. We chose the chef's choice menu. Amazing. The service was wonderful, in that we were left to talk when we wanted, but if something was needed, Kaitlin was right there to serve.
Lovely dinner at Bata. It’s been on the bucket list and it did not disappoint. Our favorites in order:
1. malawach (my goodness the flavor) we gobbled up two!
2. Steak (sauce and it was cooked to perfection)
3. Mushroom skewer (sauce A+)
4. Boa bun (great flavour but not the best of the best, still good though)
5. Albacore (decent tuna dish nothing spectacular)
6. Chocolate sorbet dessert (had high hopes for it but was medium good, not bad but not amazing).
Husband also ordered the old fashioned - superb cocktail.
Overall great experience, our waiter and other wait staff were attentive and awesome. Will return and recommend.

Excellent experience. Favorite was the malawach, 2nd was mushroom skewers and steak. Cocktail: old fashioned. The best.
Tucson, the bar has officially been raised.
Tonight was a top ten meal of my life—and I’ve eaten in some truly exquisite places. Bata could be lifted straight from its tucked-away spot downtown and dropped into El Born, and it would fit right in. Every bite was thoughtful, creative, and unforgettable. The service? Flawless. The whole experience felt not just nourishing, but fulfilling.
This is my new favorite restaurant in Tucson, and everyone who visits—I’m bringing them to Bata.

Great meal, our group really enjoyed sampling/sharing/discussing the small plates. Staff was excellent. Love watching the activity via the open kitchen concept. This was are 2nd visit. We'll be back again!
