A bit posh for my taste, the clam chowder was okay, the tuna sandwich a bit bland, but the bread was excellent.

Go here instead of Panera, you won’t regret it. This place is a Tucson classic with a wide variety of soup, salads, sandwiches, bread, and pastries to enjoy.

Ordered food for take out, after about 15 minutes we asked about the status of our food, which I believe they had forgot about and just started as it took another 15 minutes to get out to us after going back up to ask again. Was offered little than a “we’re sorry”. very poor customer service and just a big waste of time for everyone involved. if you see it’s even a little busy, avoid this place all together or order online as they seem to prioritize that over paying customers inside.

Monica needs a new job there. Twice when ordering she has come off as unfriendly and borderline rude. I think that's just her demeanor, nevertheless she needs to be put in the back of the house not customer facing. Doesn't help that both times she struggled to place the order on the POS. It's to the point I will avoid her next time so as not to spoil my lunch by her unpleasant disposition. Additionally, back of the house continues to fail to include everything in my order each time I've been there and I've had to ask the runner to go back and grab whatever it is the kitchen forgot. $23.00 for Gordo's Gorgonzola sandwich, with a side of the gorgonzola sauce, and I upgraded my side to the chili. Of course back of house forgot the side of gorgonzola sauce which I paid $2 extra for and they forgot the toppings for the chili. At this price point I would expect better service. The only reason why I'm giving it one star for service is because the runners are pretty good at getting whatever was forgotten in the order. Food is exceptional, albeit pricey.

Love their fresh-baked bread and imaginative ingredients! Lots of vegan options, too. A Tucson institution.

Friendly staff, delicious food and portions large enough for two meals or one satisfying meal for a ravenous person. Highly recommend if you’re craving soups and sandwiches.
