One of our to go to spots for our desert trip from WA. Have been a huge fan for over a decade starting when we lived walking distance of this excellent Tucson gem.

I would give 0 stars if I could. We entered as a party of 3 and were told 15 minute wait. Many empty tables but we gave our number and waited. Observed many others come in after (without reservations) and be seated. Waited 30 minutes and we're met with the hostess stating the kitchen is backed up it would be another 20-30 minutes. So 15 minutes turned into 1 hour with a nearly empty restaurant. We chose to leave and will let others know our experience with this establishment. No a place to visit on vacation to Tucson.

Visited February 2026. Stopped in for dinner on a Saturday night. Only had to wait 5 to 10 minutes for a table. Service was fast and friendly. Ordered 4 tacos (al pastor, chorizo con papas, asada, and dan gibson in the order of greatness), chunky guacamole, and a beer. Tacos were stuffed to the brim with meat. You won't leave hungry. I rate these as the second best tacos i have ever had.

We enjoyed the chips and salsa, which came with an assortment of six different salsa- so good and so fresh. We also loved the grilled shrimp tacos, perfectly flavored and grilled, and lastly the corn bread dessert, it was like a wonderful bread pudding. Overall, a top notch restaurant I highly recommend!

Wow!! We spent a week in Tucson trying a ton of different places to eat and this was by and far the clear winner! First of all, the margaritas are fresh, delicious, and tasty. Second, the house made salsa and dips are all amazing. And the food, my goodness the food. We tried at least 6 different tacos, and every meat and veggie was delectable. Even the peppers were great! Skip the tourist trap nonsense and come here, you won't be disappointed.

I have to apologize to our waiter. It was our fault for being the only table in the restaurant in the middle of the day. I am terribly sorry for the inconvenience of serving us. Next time I'll do better and simply eat somewhere else. Shame, cause the food was great.

Had been wanting to come here for years with my wife agreeing seeing Chef Maria on top chef, and it did not disappoint. Amazing service, amazing food, great drinks. I have a red tomato allergy and it is often hard to eat at Mexican restaurants (my wife’s favorite), but everyone went out of their way to help me find food. Can’t wait to go back when we’re in Tucson.

This place was terrible. I ordered 2 fish tacos. The server advised that the deep fryer was broken. I then tried to order 2 shrimp tacos with grilled shrimp rather than deep fried. The server advised that there was no more shrimp. I then ordered 2 puerco verde (green chile pork) tacos.
The food was brought to the table by a different server, thus she did not know who ordered what. So she had to guess at the individual items in each combination order and we were to claim our order. No surprise that after the server left, several orders had to be swapped among ourselves.
My pork tacos were so salty, it felt like having a needle pierce each jowl just below my ear lobes. And, corn tortillas are by nature fragile unless cooked correctly, which mine were not. Each taco disintegrated with the first bite so had to finish with a fork.
The first server delivered the bill with a 20% gratuity already added. Excuse me but a 20% gratuity is appropriate when the service is great or at least good and that was not our experience. While I am not a fan of the Taco Bell chain, we could have had better food there three times for what we paid at Boca in downtown Tucson
I swear, if the owners sent me a $ 100 gift certificate, not only would not use it, I would not gift it to someone I did not like; rather I would deposit in the recycle bin.
And there is no off-street parking. Finding an available parking meter at lunch time, on a Saturday in downtown Tucson was a nightmare in and of it’s self.
The only positive thing I can share is the totopos (fried corn tortilla chips) were warm, fresh, & tasty.

Good tacos, we enjoyed the flight of salsas, but we sat at the bar and the bartender made the experience quite unpleasant. He gave prompt attention to another couple who sat at the bar after us, but we received zero pleasantries and were barely acknowledged. We didn't say a negative word to the guy and can only assume the attitude came because we did not look look the other couple.

Great independent business that sells some of the best TACOS in Tucson. Exciting chef-curated type of TACO combinations that are delicious and executed to perfection. We take out of town friends here all the time.

I’d like to go back and try some different menu items as my daughter loved her tacos but I didn’t think mine were exceptional. The fresh chips and variety of salsa were great. Next time I’ll also try some tequila.
