Heard about this place in a Reddit thread about best bars in Tucson (I was looking specifically for fun dives) and The Buffet was rated as the top bar where people always get into most random conversations with others, which sounded exactly like what we were looking for so we decided to pop in for a drink. Let me tell you, on our first night out after flying in from Canada, it definitely didn’t let us down! We ended up meeting a hilariously large amount of people, who kept plying us with Jell-O shots - truly the best crowd/hospitality I’ve ever received at a bar! It seems like such a delightful little spot with super friendly patrons. Servers are also great, and very attentive. Anyways 10/10 I would highly recommend checking this out while in Tucson, the vibes are immaculate and you’re guaranteed going to have someone to talk to for a fun night out ??

I travel all over the country for work. Dive bars are my absolute favorite and I've been in many of them all over the country and The Buffet is absolutely fantastic. It's one of my favorites in the country. I cannot get enough of this place. It is so fun and the bartenders are awesome. I actually had to buy some merch. I love this place. It is the quintessential dive bar and I love all of it

THERE ARE NOT ENOUGH WORDS TO DESCRIBE ALL THE GREAT TIMES WE'VE ENJOYED AT THIS PLACE.. BARTENDERS... PATRONS ARE WITTY AND FUN AND FRIENDLY...MORE COMMENTS TO FOLLOW...?...UPDATE :1-9-24 STILL GREAT..ESPECIALLY THE POOL PLAYERS..UPDATE : 01-23-24..mike the manager / bouncer ill socialable accounts are too overwhelming..hopefully he is banished from management..much more to follow..he was chasing me west down the street trying to pick a fight with a 62 year old man..how sad..?..i emplor you..I guess he's brain washed the bartenders with his might..let me know when he is LONG GONE..!..prior to that he put me out in the cold rain to wait for my taxi..WHAT A PRETENTIOUS _-_-_ .
We didn't have food so I can't rate that but this is a great dive bar. Go in with low expectations in terms of decor but a pitcher of drat beer is only 8 bucks. Yes you only get 2 choices of beer for a pitcher but this is not the place to go if you want to drink craft beer. It is the place to go if you like dive bars, history and good conversation

Ok, so this is about a dive as a dive can be.My party of 3 walked in on a busy Saturday evening. It was very busy. We ambled around the bar (not an easy task - to the right of the main entrance, there is a shuffle board table. We spied 3 empty bar stools at the end of the bar.Immediately you notice all the graffiti on the walls (and ceiling! We marveled at the ceiling and wondered, "how exactly did they do that"?). There are totems, chachkys, and do-dads galore behind the bar. To our right, we spied a mini fridge filled with jello shots (7 flavors I believe). A friend ordered 3, and we inquired which type of alcohol was used in them (mostly vodka). None were terrible.While there's a ton of atmosphere here, it's kind of a small place so you need to be comfortable in close quarters. I'm glad I learned about The Buffet (1st visit). I love dive bars, and this place fits the bill!Parking: On a Friday or Saturday night, expect to have at least a short walk from wherever you park to the bar.

Small dive. At a place like this, you'll probably see a lot of regulars. Bartenders are very accommodating and weren't intimidated by our large party size (and large orders). I'd appreciate more privacy in the bathrooms. Makes it hard to comfortably eliminate waste. I recommend the Trash Cans and Jello shots.Wheelchair accessibility: Tight spacing in the bar would make it tough to navigate in a wheelchair.
