From the few times we've visited, the Canyon Club offers a breakfast buffet or normal menu items (à la carte). We always enjoy the food and the staff is always friendly.

You can't beat the beautiful location of this resort. All the staff I encounted were great. My issue was with the room itself. Baseboards very dirty, especially if I noticed, the tile surrounding the back of the toilet was concerning, there appeared to be mold in the grout of the soaking tub/shower, and the air filter in the vent rent was caked with dust.

Fantastic property in a beautiful part of town! With an excellent spa, two pools, and multiple dining options, there's no need to leave the property if you don't want to. If you do, they conveniently offer rides to and from Sabino Canyon for some excellent hiking opportunities. We loved our stay over a long weekend. Highly recommend a massage at the spa and Flying V for dinner - the table side guac is a must!

The location, guest rooms, conference rooms and walking trails were excellent. The hotel staff that I interacted with were friendly and helpful. I was attending a conference at the hotel but would like to come back with family for some rest and relaxation and to enjoy the pool and other amenities.

Roaches in room every day. TV didn’t get any reception. TV Remote didn’t work. $34 per day Resort fee charged after the stay. Horrible place. Rooms were cleaned well sans the roaches. Never stay there again.

We stayed at the Ventana Resort for four nights. Bell service on arrival was professional and efficient. Check-in experience was well done. The location of the resort is ideal if you like nature, as it is adjacent to the beautiful Sonoran Desert. There is flowing water which attracts all manner of wildlife and also moderates the heat. The resort facilities are top notch, complete with golf course access, restaurants, pool, conference rooms, etc. The facilities are very clean and well maintained. Our room was a deluxe king which was spacious and comfortable. Bedding and towels were of high quality, though we found the pillows a little too soft. Food services were generally well done. While the food was uniformly good, the service was a bit inconsistent. We had our little furry one with us and she loved the place as it is very pet friendly. It was pretty hot and shaded relief areas were sometimes hard to find. One minus is the guest room doors, which are very heavy and usually close with a resounding thud. These thuds occur night and day; light sleepers may find them annoying. All in all, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would not hesitate to recommend Loew's Ventana Canyon Resort.

The entire resort is beautiful and the staff was welcoming and very friendly! The moment we first checked in , Aylina was like a best friend! She gave us an upgrade for our room, food for the koi fish, and a goodie bag for our fur baby!!

The property and room were overall very nice. Unfortunately, the service and food were very poor. When we checked in, the receptionist informed us of the hours of the restaurant but neglected to mention that it was closed that evening (It is not open on Mon/Tues certain times of the year). Why tell us the hours but neglect to mention it's not open that day? We had dinner in the bar -- the burger was great, the steak was tough and not seasoned. We googled the 15$ / glass wine we had and found out we could have bought a bottle at Walmart for 12.99$. The pool area was nice but perhaps the attendant could have stopped playing with their phone and picked up the skimmer and removed all the bugs and cleaned up all the leftover barware. At breakfast we ordered chicken and waffles ... both of which were served raw. Raw chicken and raw waffle batter. And on the way down to check out, the hallway stunk of people smoking drugs. Overall a pretty bad experience.

This was our second stay at Loews. We chose the Loews Ventana this time around because one, we tried something new with the Omni and I was not thrilled with the customer service or the rooms at the Omni, two, Loews Ventana offers a special rate for UA parents, and third it is a BEAUTIFUL place. From the moment you pull up to the resort, you feel the special-ness of this great spot. With the beautiful mountain-ness backdrop, the sky high cacti, and the waft of fragrance sneaking out from the reception area that all greet you, you cannot help but get a little excited about checking in. The rooms are nice and comfy, with pretty views and all the extras needed to make it a comfy stay. Our last stay was shortly after the pandemic and all the closings, so the resort was unfortunately short staffed at that time and suffered from a few customer service issues (but nothing that made me rethink ever coming back - it was totally understandable), but even then and especially now, the customer service was always great. The front desk was helpful, roomservice/housekeeping was great! The pool is definitely one of my favorite spots. From the plentiful seating, to the big pool, the towels/lotion/water/floaties, and of course the bar service. Everything makes the pool area a fun hangout. There is also the small walking path up part of the mountain. It leads to you to a serene and peaceful place on the resort where you can sit and enjoy a beautiful waterfall. The first time we had come to Loews Ventana the rain had caused a mud slide that unfortunately took out a small pond located near the pools. This time around the pond was back and filled with quite a few Koi fish. Another really peaceful and tranquil place to relax and breath in all the beauty of nature. The resort has a few restaurants on the property. We had tried them our last visit but at the time it was nothing that truly stood out and we had wanted to try a few other places while we were in town. For those visiting UA, the university is about a 25 minute drive, depending where you are going on campus. Not too bad a drive. Of course there are many more options much closer to the campus but none will beat the view of the Loews Ventana.

I would have thought a dog-friendly chain would keep its fenced dog play area pretty clean, but unfortunately there was a lot of trash in that space during our visit - nobody seemed to care about it. Room service was prompt, and the food plentiful, but it was also expensive (even for room service) and of very mixed quality. There was really no need to send a salt shaker up with breakfast, as everything but the fruit had way too much. However they need to send sharper steak knives - the strip stake was prepared nicely but of very low quality. My biggest disappointment was the view from the pricey top floor City View room. If you want to see the city lights, ask for a lower floor, where the lighting from the hotel grounds won't be such an intrusion. I plan to ask for a Mountain side room next time.
