I ordered the ground beef enchiladas special along with an $8 ‘machaca’ enchilada, which wasn’t machaca at all but just shredded beef. I still had one enchilada left to take home so I asked the waiter for a spoon’s worth of enchilada sauce to put on it so it wouldn’t dry out. Instead he brought out a large container of sauce. I told him that I didn’t need or want any more than a spoonful. I finally told him to keep the large container of sauce AND take the $3 extra charge off the bill. I, once again, asked for just a small amount of sauce for my leftover enchilada. He refused so I spoke to the manager and she, rather snootily, confirmed that there would be an extra charge of $3 no matter the amount!!! Fifty years of dining out and I NEVER experienced, or even heard of, such a chintzy restaurant, especially after spending $50 on lunch for two. UNBELIEVABLE. So, for five cents worth of enchilada sauce they alienated a Mexican food lover who dines out almost daily and who lives close by. This whole very unpleasant and unbelievable policy is such a turn-off that I will NEVER go back there…

Cool old building and service was great. Problem is the food. The tortillas are store bought and the only decent thing I ate were the mini chimis which are totally deep fried. They put lettuce on everything. It’s giving “Mexican food” in the Midwest.

This is a quaint little place off the beaten track, but they did a great job. It was our first visit and we met friends there. The food was great and everybody enjoyed whatever they had to drink. Service was great and we will definitely go back!!

Ordered a Machaca Chimi. It was nothing but a burrito with sauce poured on it. Guacamole was a teaspoon sized dollop. Not a good use of $28.

Stopped for lunch at the restaurant recommended by associates at doctor office. Food was very good; service was excellent; decor was nicely done; restaurant and bathrooms were spotlessly clean.

Purchased a taco salad with chicken but there was only a tiny amount of chicken included. When I reported this to the manager she said she observed my order being prepared and there was an ample amount of chicken provided. She offered no apology and basically called me a liar.

The food was mediocre. Bland. The guacamole did not have any flavor and there was a weird spice combination with the green chile con carne. The server was very friendly, attentive and wonderful. She was the best part of our experience. We tried several things. The thing we liked the most was the salsa. This is most likely a wonderful neighborhood restaurant that cooks their dishes to meet their local customer's tastes. They had a side room that was beautiful and would be good for a large dinner party. The whole restaurant had a good vibe.

Used to love this place, I've been going here for almost 15 years. There's been a steady decline in staff and food quality over the years. The last 4 times my family has eaten at your establishment the service has been horrendous. Thank God for the hard working girl up front because the rest of your staff is utterly useless.
So we decided to order take out because why deal with the crappy service. Guess what? That's total crap as well. I shouldn't near a steak knife to cut through your old, dry and hard tortillas. You lost our families business for good. I'll go down the street to El Molinito where they provide quality for your money.

An average Mexican place served up so fast your head will spin. I was expecting a bit of a wait from the crowd, but my #10 combo was ready in 5 minutes flat.
Food was good, classics all executed well, if a bit Americanized.
Service staff are attentive and efficient if a bit lacking on niceties. (Not in a bad way)
Atmosphere reminds me more of a Denny's than other Mexican establishments. This isn't bad either - it's a great atmosphere for getting together with a friend or some family.
Dietary accomodations are nill. I had to come here on a day my wife wanted to stay home. That being said, if you aren't vegetarian or vegan it's a solid establishment.

Kid-friendliness: Yes, but obviously not a jungle gym
