I began going to Casa Molina in the mid 70's while at UA. The food was, and I hear still is, outstanding and truly authentic. When I lived in Scottsdale we made the trip to Tucson so my kids could experience this over the top true Mexican cuisine in 1987. I'm in Prescott area now and I'm planning a trip back just for the eats. Seriously, the best there is.
Even though the first listing for Casa Molina on Speedway says it is open, it is not. It is still closed due to a kitchen fire there in late April or early May 2022. As of May 13, 2022, they are CLOSED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE per the signs posted on three doors. Missing them a lot!
Casa Molina is one of my favorite restaurants in Tucson! I spent my birthday there with my friends! The staff is always friendly and attentive, and the food is absolutely delicious! They make it a point to get to know you personally and the staff remembers you face, name, and even your favorite dishes. They even recognize my voice when I call in my order for pick up!
