Today’s lunch at Chef Brian’s Comfort Kitchen was nothing short of delightful. I had the pleasure of dining with my neighbor, and from the moment we stepped through the door, we were warmly welcomed by the attentive staff—and even greeted personally by Chef Brian himself.
We both opted for the salmon croquettes, and they were absolute perfection. Generously portioned, beautifully crisped, and paired with an incredible sauce that elevated every bite. For my side, I chose the sweet potato and sage soup, which was savory, well-balanced, and deeply flavorful. My neighbor offered a taste of her sweet potato bites, which were just as impressive—expertly cooked and seasoned with care.
Service was top-notch throughout. The staff was not only friendly but also impressively attentive, bringing us take-home containers before we even asked. It’s the kind of thoughtful touch that sets a great dining experience apart.
As we were finishing our meal, Chef Brian came out to thank us personally and invited us to return. It was a kind gesture that made the visit feel that much more special—and we absolutely will be returning.
Other highlights include ample parking, and pleasant background music at just the right volume, allowing for easy conversation.
Final Verdict: A+
Chef Brian’s Comfort Kitchen lives up to its name in every way—comforting food, warm hospitality, and an inviting atmosphere. Can’t wait for our next visit!
Wasn't There.
Chicken and waffles were fabulous and Chef Brian was warm and friendly.
My order was for take out. The food is phenomenal. You will not find a better fried chicken. Potatoes were seasoned to perfection. The blueberry punch is not to be slept on . You will have one of the best meals of your life here.
It's so good dude and the guy is extremely friendly hello
This place has huge portions and Brian is a LEGEND.. such a chill and funny guy and it made the experience 10 times better at least, and the hand made blueberry punch is amazing!!! Will come here again!!!
Chef Brian himself made his chicken and waffles for me, and the whole experience was pretty friggin wonderful. Tucson has been needing more solid family-run restaurants, and this place delivers in full. I can't wait to come back for the fried bologna sammy.
I tried Chef Brian's Comfort Kitchen with a friend. They were very welcoming and the menu looks great. I ordered the Saturday Afternoon Chicken Sammy and it was excellent. The chicken was moist and the breading was crispy. We talked to Chef Brian about the restaurant on our way out and he is very warm and friendly.
We wanted to love this place. The food was decent but extremely expensive. What made is not want to come back is watching the chef blame his new employee multiple times for what was clearly his error. Chef needs to take responsibility when he screws up.
My friend and I went into this place and we were discriminated against by the owner Brian. He spent a ridiculously long time discussing his prices . It became obvious he doubted our ability to pay. We ordered and the food was like the atmosphere, was dismal and disappointing.
We should not have tipped.

To say the food was incredible, is an understatment. Chef Brian's culinary work scratches all the itches I seek in comfort food, but also steps in fresh directions with nuances of flavor, that only unique artistry can provide. Chef Brian's Comfort Kitchen is a gem tucked in the 4400 Broadway Tower, but it felt like home: Chef Brian Hill treated everyone in my family with a true sense of care and heartfelt joy. To be treated with such appreciation by someone with such talent, is a rare experience in this age. Eating here reinvigorates what it means
to be nourished.
Wow! Amazing food and great service!

What a gem of a place to have some fantastic food. We started patronizing Chef Brian when he had his restaurant on 4th Avenue and we were lucky enough to track him down at his new location. So worth the effort.
If you’re looking for the ultimate chicken experience—look no further. This place doesn’t just serve food… it delivers miracles wrapped in golden, crispy skin.
From the moment I walked in, I felt like royalty. The portions? Monumental. We’re talking about platefuls that could sustain a small army, yet somehow every bite is perfectly balanced, tender, and seasoned like the chef personally prayed over it. And speaking of the chef—what a legend. Not only is he an absolute specimen of a human being (seriously, someone sculpt this man in marble), but he sings in the kitchen. Operatic falsettos. Baritone jazz. Chicken-themed ballads. All while frying, seasoning, and plating like someone who truly loves what he does.
But he’s not just talented—he’s humble too. When he brought the food out (yes, he brought it out), he cracked a joke about his apron being from the “Michelangelo collection: Stained by flavor, stitched by the angels.” I laughed. I cried. I devoured an entire mountain of chicken.
The service was phenomenal—attentive, warm, and genuinely caring. I felt like they wanted me to not just enjoy my meal but thrive during it. This wasn’t a restaurant visit. This was a transformational life event.
Five stars? I’d give it infinity if I could.
Come hungry. Leave reborn.
