Eating here was by far the best meal I have had in a long, long time. Chef Brian was alone the evening we stopped by. He did not turn us away but promised if we were patient it would be worth it. He came through and presented us with the most incredible meals any of us had ever had. His restaurant is small and inconspicuous but the amazing food that is served within negates the outward appearance. My gratitudes to The Chef for a job Well Done. I will be back !!!

The food was AMAZING! We got his chicken, salmon, sweet potatoes, potato salad, potato wedges, and his homemade sweet tea. Every single item would be the best dish at a different restaurant.
Chef Brian helped us out with the menu. He was so fun and polite and has a great taste in music. The venue was spacious with fun seating especially for the building size.

Chef Brian’s food is phenomenal! My friend and I split the chicken and waffles and the pork chops. Not sure which one I enjoyed more. Will definitely be coming back to try the rest of the menu.

After moving here from the Florida, I immediately noticed the lack of authentic SOULFOOD. This restaurant completely fills that void with amazing cuisine and atmosphere!

I had the pleasure of dinning with Chef Brian at his Comfort Kitchen and it was a wonderful experience. Its a must, if you want a personalized chef cooking experience and great food do yourself favor and check the brother out. Nice size portions and flavorful dishes, I had the chicken and waffles, waffle so good did have to use any butter.

Chef Brian’s Comfort Kitchen is THE spot for brunch in Tucson. The first thing I noticed when you walk is how eclectic the restaurant appears. The mismatched vintage furniture, flower plated tableware, and serve-yourself-beverage fridge immediately endeared me to the comfort vibe. As I looked in on the open kitchen, Chef Brian (formerly of Top Chef) greeted me with warm Southern hospitality that I might have expected in NOLA, but was a pleasant surprise to experience in Tucson. I had already scouted the menu and knew that I had to try his World Famous chicken and waffles. Previously a private chef to Hollywood royalty, Chef Brian is not shy with unabashedly declaring how good his food is, and from the first bite, I realized why he is so confident. The flavors are AMAZING! From the homemade blueberry punch individually sold in mason jars, to the perfectly cooked (crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside) chicken adorned on top of the hearty waffle, and the herbed mayo (soon to be sold in stores), everything Chef Brian served for my brunch was to die for! There is an extensive menu here, and I cannot wait to go back and try everything. Put this restaurant on your must-go list! Just make sure you come hungry, because I promise you, regardless of the massive portion sizes, the flavors you will experience here will make you want to eat every bite!

If the food wasn't already a 10/10 I would also give 10/10 for the owner. A true gem of a human being, business owner and amazing chef. This man accommodated my wife's food allergy to egg's and made her feel like a Queen doing it. You would have thought all of us without the food allergy were more of special request than the way Chef treated my wife's order.
Then his staff that delivered were also a rare find when it comes to service, attitude and promptness.
I cannot scream it loud enough to ORDER FROM or GO EAT HERE!!!!!!!
Thank you Chef and crew!

Genuinely the most delicious meal I’ve had since moving here. Portions were humongous and every item was so good. Chef Brian was so welcoming and funny, it made the experience even better. Will be returning for breakfast!

My brother was visiting and we decided to order a Thanksgiving meal from Chef Brian's Comfort Kitchen. The meal came with chicken; which I got the roasted breasts, yams, greens, cornbread and mac and cheese. It was delicious. Everything was cooked fresh and seasoned just right. Brian and his assistant were cool people to meet, and the experience was good. I'll definitely be back again.

The staff is very rude! Brian the head chef acted so unprofessional towards me and my family we will not be returning again. Brian was making racist remarks. calling me and my 73 year old grandmother crackers while I was eating with my kids we miss understood that yellow onion was on the plate we ordered which I get was our fault for not reading the menu correctly but he had no reason to respond the way he did, he told us of course they added yellow onions we like flavor unlike cracker folks I don’t know if he thought we weren’t white or what? but I took so much offense to that and I’m sad I put my money into a racists persons bank account.

Personal care and attention to traditional southern comfort food. This is what you wish your grandmother's cooking tasted like. Indescribable fried chicken, potato salad worth an academy award, and a mess of greens you know were freshly cooked. Just go. Try it. You will agree.

So great to find Chef Brian again. Truly the best chicken sandwich in the country. So many in Washington D.C. miss his awesome cooking pre-Covid.

The food here was so delicious and fresh. The servings were huge! Fortunately, Chef Brian recommended we share a combo plate and my husband and I still had left overs to take home. Very friendly and personable service. We will be back!
