I wouldn't call it a quiet place, live music creates a festive atmosphere. They have a good selection of drinks at very reasonable (for a bar) prices. If you are looking for a place you can support the local music scene this is it. They have Live, local music every week. A classic bar scene with a classic Chicago feel, but still a taste of Tucson.

You can tell from the owner’s response to a recent review who he is as a person. Their hours are strange- and I recommend calling before you go because they don’t seem to be open a lot of the time they advertise they are open, the crowd (the Saturday night reggae crew) acted like they own the place (which drew the ire of the bartenders- even they admitted that the regulars that come to see that one band that plays every Saturday is full of jerks, which says a lot) but the bartenders make it great! Heather and Kerwyn are the reasons I return. I had a negative experience with the owner one evening- he’s rude and doesn’t seem to give a crap about his own bar, but despite that I keep going back because of the 2 best bartenders in Tucson.

First off the Chicago bar is a great place for karaoke and parties. They have great bands that play but lets talk about the parties and karaoke. Rick the KAraoke host is amazing. Great rotations, very professional and great vibes. Leah the bartender. One of the best in tucson. Last night 12-11-24 she threw an epic birthday bash for one of the locals that attends the bar reguarly. As you walked into the bar it was filled with people and decorations. The decorations were spot on, there were a couple of guys who came as Santa to keep the vibe going all night long. Leah spent hours on end to make this night very special. The amount of fun everyone had was out of this world! Leah also tended bar by herself. She rocked it like rocking around the christmas tree. Everyone was helped and not one single grinch was in sight. Even if there was a grinch, his heart was 3 times as big because of how much fun was going on. Next time you want to celebrate your birthday, anniversary or have a random party. See leah and she will make it an epic night. Thank you chicago bar and Leah for making last night a night to remember!!

Visited Roy Metcalf automotive behind it personally one best mechanic shops in Tucson.. Chicago bar haven't patronize since the reopening limit days and hours open used to be the go to spot 15 years ago

This is a great spot for Karaoke if that's your thing, I don't sing but I enjoy the atmosphere of those nights. If they offered food it would be better. Service is great if you're at the bar.

I've nothing positive to say about this place.
I came to Chicago Bar for my birthday, to support my friend who is in a band. Originally told the show was free, turns out there's an 10 dollar cover charge. They assured me to leave the tab open. No house lights.
When leaving, I signed a single receipt for 12 dollars. I asked and was told the extra was a fee for card, not a huge deal.
Later on, I found out I was charged 11 upon entering, and then 12 again upon leaving, despite the single receipt. 23 dollars more than expected, with no drinks involved.
I tried to call back during open hours the next day to get this fixed, but after hearing "You've reached the Chicago Bar" for the 27th time in two hours, trust me, you don't feel like you've reached the Chicago Bar.
I called a few other bars to see if they would pick up; they all did on the first try, and some with a laugh in their voice. I'd recommend those places.
