“Today is the first time for me to try Dave’s hot chicken, I have always been skeptical of it from the advertisement, however, I had a long shift at work and wanted to try something new.

Upon walking in Kayla(kim) I don’t remember her name precisely, but the ticket read Kayla.

She knew exactly why I wanted, she was friendly, and very helpful when I felt overwhelmed by the menu and new options I had never seen before. She is literally working the counter by herself for lunch rush. If that is not star behavior, I don’t know what is.

The specific location is now marked on my favorite spot on the east side of Tucson, I’ll be sure to come back even if it’s just for the chicken and host of having more people like her. 🥰“

“My family and I came to Chick Fil A for lunch. We were informed that their system was down and unable to process credit cards. You could pay via the app or order from your phone. I opted to order on my phone. As I was trying to pay, the app would not process my payment. I then stood in line to see what could be done. After exiting and going back into the app, the cashier was able to pull up my order and proceed to comp my entire families meal since it was not working. Thank you Ina Chick Fil A!“

“Food was great, they forgot some stuff with the order but it was busy and it was any easy fix so no big deal. Despite being quite busy they still got the food out very quickly. Definitely recommend if you're looking for better quality fast food in a hurry“

“At this location to my amazement was very clean, this location has been around for many years I never wanted to stop by for fear that it would be very greasy and dirty like most locations that sell chicken. but the crew was amazing they were quick efficient and very very clean which I appreciate, so hats off too them all. I did not catch any names but they were very hard workers. and the food was cooked correctly very good 👍 I ordered a large family feast and they got everything right. Of course in this times prices are a little high but when you're in a hurry and you need quick food it was worth it when they get your order correct. “The food is good, especially their salsa. I'm very careful ordering the macaroni salad, because the four times I have ordered it, it tastes bad, like it's old and stale. Customer service is not good, and the restaurant itself is very plain from the inside. I do not recommend their bathrooms, they smell very bad, that's why I never eat there, I always take the food home.

Let me tell you something about the Lucky Wishbone on Silverlake & Mission in Tucson: I’ve been coming here for years, 3 to 4 times a year like clockwork, and the food has ALWAYS been legendary. But lately?
There’s something different. Something rare. Something the restaurant industry desperately needs more of.

That “something” has a name: DESIREE.

This woman is a powerhouse of professionalism, kindness, and humanity on a level I honestly didn’t think still existed in today’s world. The last three visits, she has been on shift, and each time she has delivered what can only be described as master-class customer service.

She is:

✨ Efficient
✨ Organized
✨ A visual WORK HORSE
✨ And genuinely kind to every single human who walks in the door

And let me be VERY clear, I watched this woman treat a stinky, struggling homeless man with the exact same warmth and dignity she showed a white-collar businessman who came in right after him. Unfortunately, that businessman loudly complained, embarrassed the poor guy, and drove him to take his food to go. But Desiree? Not even a flicker of judgment. She served both men with the SAME smile, the SAME respect, and the SAME heart.

That is rare.
That is special.
That is the kind of humanity this world needs more of.

And on top of that, the restaurant has NEVER, and I mean NEVER, looked as spotless, organized, and smoothly run as when Desiree is at the helm. She’s greeting guests, cleaning, managing orders, supporting her team, handling the rush, all WITHOUT losing her smile.

Lucky Wishbone… you better realize the gem you have in this woman.
People like Desiree don’t just “work” somewhere, they ELEVATE the entire place.

I even stopped her personally to tell her how incredible she is, and promised her I’d make sure people knew her name. So here it is, loud and proud for everyone to see:

“When you get tired of all the other fast food, be sure to try LW. After having lived away from Tucson for years, I am back and finally got to eat at LW again. I did the sampler that had shrimp, steak fingers, chicken tenders, cole slaw and garlic toast. After all these years, the great quality is still the same. They are not a chain or franchise business, so you will only find them here. They were selling fried chicken before it became so popular. If you never tried steak fingers, try these, you don't know what you are missing. They must coat their French fries with something because they stand above the rest.“
