Chocolate Iguana

I'm a coffe-holic, and the buzz around Chocolate Iguana had me curious so.... I decided to give them a try. The atmosphere and esthetics walking in looked promising. so I was excited to try them out. Since I'm not a fan of liquid sweeteners, I opted out of my usual iced vanilla latte and instead ordered a 4-shot espresso over ice with room for cream. When my order was called up, I was disappointed to see that the cream had already been added, much heavier than what I would have poured in on my own. Upon taking a sip, the espresso had a burnt taste... not bitter per se, but a burnt flavoring. I left a bit disheartened; Chocolate Iguana did not live up to its hype.

I've been a fan of this place since I was a kid. Over the years it had been more and more difficult for me to make my way down to the location on 4th ave, but now that it is at La Cholla this place has been a great joy to rediscover again.

I love coming here with my partner for weekly coffee! The lady is so sweet when we come in! Definitely now a regular! Coffee is great and the food is delicious! I highly recommend getting coffee here!!

I got the chocolate fudge and Italian beef sandwich both were absolutely delicious. The calm environment made it so much better.

Came in hoping they may have some short frozen hot chocolate icy drink but they only have coffee ones. Nonetheless I got an eclair which was very nice. There was lots of cream inside that was cold and frefrshing. And the overall eclair was just mildly sweet if you're looking for a less sweet treat.
The staff were helpful and recommended some options I may like as they didn't have what I was originally looking for.
Clean plenty of seating and a place I would come back too when I want something sweet. 👍🏼

Love this little shop, a great place to hang out with friends or get a bit of work done! Very reasonable prices for coffee & Italian sodas, etc. They also have pastries, ice cream, and handmade chocolates. I was particularly impressed to see they offered a GF muffin flavor too!

Food was as cold and bland as the customer service.

Cute place. I didn't know they had reopened. I was excited to find a gf muffin, but it was pretty dry. My friend's regular muffin was, too. I ordered decaf coffee & she made me a pour over, which was fine. My friend ordered tea. They only had 1 kind of no-caffiene tea. Probably won't go back.
