We attended Bites and Brews - dinner pairing with local Button Brew House. It was delightful. 10/10
We tried out Cielos after seeing it on Open Table new lists. It was great. A lovely property with good seating inside and a great patio outside. The menu was unusual and delightful. We always look for exciting menus with new selections. There was a jazz band who were very pleasing and I cannot say enough about how great the wait staff was for us. We will return !!
What a great old resort. We had not been to Cielos and did not even know it existed (we live in Scottsdale). Great find!
We truly had an amazing dinner and also breakfast during our stay. The food is amazing we will bake!!
We had a lovely time. There were six of us and the food was great and the service was excellent. There was a mistake made for one of our guests, but they could not have been more accommodating and agreeable in fixing it. We all make mistakes, the test is how we deal with fixing them. It is our third time being there and highly recommend this restaurant.
Perfect! South/West Charm
Cielo’s: Where Breakfast Goes to Die (and Take Your Mood With It)
Ah, Cielo’s. A place that truly redefines hospitality - if by hospitality you mean being ignored for 10 minutes at a podium while your reservation evaporates into the desert heat.
Despite booking a 9 AM table, we stood patiently under the “Please Wait to Be Seated” sign, which I now realize is more of a social experiment than a guideline. When someone finally acknowledged us, it wasn’t with a “Welcome,” but a shout - “Go sit anywhere!” - loud enough to turn heads from other tables and low enough in effort to make IKEA’s self-service model look like fine dining. No indoor vs. outdoor options. No check on the reservation. Just pure, directionless chaos.
Still, we sat—because we had a flight in two hours, not because we valued self-esteem.
The vibe? Imagine if a DMV tried to serve brunch. Two visibly overworked servers tried to hold the place together while management appeared to be on a smoke break from leadership entirely.
And the food? Oh, dear. Picture a menu that whispered promises and a kitchen that screamed nope. The bread selection included your childhood’s sad white loaf or a cinnamon-raisin curveball no one asked for. No potatoes either - because the fryer had “broken” that morning. A tragic plot twist for a breakfast place, really.
Cielo’s isn’t courting customers. It’s daring them to come back. And I, for one, have accepted the dare - by never returning.
One star. And that’s purely for the existential clarity it gave me.
Update - we waited 40 mins and left without eating. Table next to us waited 90 mins and still waiting on food.
Excellent Father's Day whiskey dinner at Cielo's cohosted with Delbac Whiskey. Great food and drink, really nice atmosphere in the restaurant's Fireplace Room, and highly inventive whiskey cocktails. Would definitely go back.
Food was good. I thought the portion size was not proportionate to the price, but I understand that Cielos is looking for a more upscale experience. We got sat in a room without anyone in it, which was great. Most of the place was empty since it was a Thursday evening, but rowdy people in the bar area could be heard down the hall and in a separate room. Plus, a large party was sat around the corner on the other side of us, which made conversation a little more difficult. They did the best with what they had for inside seating, but the architecture just isn't conducive to the finer dining experience that they're trying to provide, as indicated by their prices.
Always happy with ambiance, staff and cuisine. Highly recommend this restaurant! We will most definitely return!

We went here again after having a wonderful meal the first time, but this time, it was subpar at best. The menu online is outdated, which led to me not being able to order what I wanted for my birthday dinner. What I ordered instead was just okay. The drinks are fine, but they are definitely made with premix instead of fresh juice. Our service wasn't the greatest either. There was a very loud, large party which was catered to over our table of 4. Tucson has tons of restaurants that are worth a visit over this one.
Server was great. But food very not the best. Rainbow trout had bones in it. One of our orders of short rib was very fatty. Meat loaf was dry and vegetables were not cooked fully. Very disappointing meal and especially for the price. Unfortunately will be the last time we visit here. Not worth the money at all.
Really great place to relax and dine. Or waiter was great and the place was nice and cool. Perfect spot.

This is one of our favorite restaurants in Tucson. We love to get a table outdoors especially on a Saturday night to enjoy the live music. The food is always incredible and the servers friendly and attentive. On our most recent visit, everyone at our table very much enjoyed the Green Corn Tamale Hush Puppies! Love they they have some Arizona beer and wine offerings.
