David and Alex are top-notch servers, and the salmon was great. We're sad the restaurant is closing on Saturday.
Tried this place for the first time last night and I don’t plan on returning any time soon. The layout is very cramped. We were seated so uncomfortably close to other people that it was awkward, we felt like we were sitting with them it was so close, but the main disappointment was the portion sizes. I ordered the Salmon entree which was $28 and the portion was so small, I ate every single piece and was still really hungry when I left. There was literally like 4 vegetables on my plate and they were tiny. Barely any couscous either. My partner had that burger and the patty was so small, it looked like a kids burger, and he was basically given a tiny handful of French fries. We even shared a salad and had dessert and we were both so hungry after we left that we had to get more food from somewhere else afterwards. To spend $100 on a meal and still be hungry after is crazy. The entrees were also really bland, lacking flavor on all accounts. On the other hand, the chocolate budino dessert was impeccable and if I returned for any reason, it would be for that.
I made a reservation for one, but decided to sit at the bar to be polite since they were so busy. First off the bartender was great. She was super efficient even running double shakers. She was in flow state. That being said management had done her a terrible disservice by not having another person with her. She was in the weeds because the menu consists of specialty cocktails. On top of making all of those she had to service the bar. This was a terrible decision on managements part. Speaking of the bar there was a busted bar tap and a gigantic what I assume was Co2 tank just sitting in the open. Just poor fit and finish. I ordered the poutine. It was very salty and small. If it was duck gravy I would have never known. As someone who travels to New England frequently it was a travesty. I was going for nostalgia and was left disappointed. I decided not to order and entree and picked up a burger at a food truck on the way home. Props again to the bartender she works way too hard for that place.
Amazing service, the martini and blue cheese olives are sent from heaven, great experience here!
Amazing staff and AMAZING FOOD! I grew up in Tucson and this isn’t new favorite restaurant here! I tell everyone bout it.
Really great service and food as always. Relaxing evening and service amazing. Alex, David & Barrett always take care of us.
Had high hopes but did not live up to expectations in any way. The server was quick on the upselling but, oh, we’re out of beer, we’re out of air-conditioning, and oh I got your order wrong. Did anything get discounted? Nope. I have a high tolerance for uneven service, having worked in restaurants for years. That’s the fact that there was an egregious error and nothing was done to rectify it, makes me excited to give this a two star review.
Great! David is the best! We always ask to be seated in his section. The salmon and pasta dishes are always good. The barata with strawberries is a must! Good French Chardonnay as well!
I forgot to mention to the wait staff I am watching my sodium intake. The food came out too salty to begin with, esp the mussels.
The pictures online are completely deceiving of what this restaurant actually is. Service was great, everything was horrible. Like seriously, the food was not good(burnt, overcooked burger-was suppose to be medium, pasta was watery...don't even know what that grill cheese was). Do not recommend.

Commoner has been progressively declining since management changed last year. Their food quality and portion sizes have gone down while the prices keep going up. Their happy hour burger used to be one of the best in town with a brioche bun and house made aioli and pickles. The one I got last time was on a dry store bought bun with no toppings. Lacked flavor and the meat was dry with a small handful of fries on the side. If your going to skimp on portions, maybe get smaller plates so it at least looks like a full meal. Not worth the price or the drive.
The food was not great at all. Presentation and taste. I've come here for years and was never disappointed until today. And there were gnats everywhere. I couldn't enjoy my meal because I kept having to slap the table to squish a fly or shoo away a gnat
We were greeted wonderfully and our server provided us excellent service. The food was phenomenal and loved the look and feel of the place.
The salmon was absolutely horrible and tasteless and the chicken sandwich was very small yet the table next to us was twice the size.
The server was the worst and never asked if we needed anything or how the food was and then took the full plate of salmon which we didn't eat.
Will not be back!
Just a little loud but overall great!
