This would have been a 5 star review, because up until recently this was on of my favorite restaurants, and the fact that I could order them in thru delivery made it even better. However, they recently went through a menu overhaul and tossed out so many of the items we loved. I'd actually call it a menu BUTCHER. Their Sambal Beef was absolutely amazing, nothing else like it in Tucson. Truffle fries, nope, they are gone too. Airline chicken, scallops, short ribs, brussels. What the heck happened?!?!
Please please bring back the good stuff that made you exceptional, and I promise I will give you the best review ever.

That was such a good dinner! Didn’t need a reservation, place wasn’t even one third full Sunday evening. The service was fast and attentive, food prompt and delicious, server was fantastic.
The pear Gimlet drink was phenomenal.

The only minus is that they had a big party in the private event area/room with a lot of people, and the doors were left wide open the whole evening, which made the entire restaurant VERY loud. It’s hard to enjoy yourself with a loud crowd cheering and laughing steps away from you. It was only private for them, but everyone else had to hear them, I saw the other guests being uncomfortable too.

Solid dinner place. Stayed for over three hours. Food was very good, as was service. Even the manager was attentive. I would return. Had the beet salad, risotto, and the papardelle. Maybe slightly overpriced. I had dinner with a friend and they left us alone to enjoy our conversation.

Found it because it was within shuttle distance of Loews Ventana. They did not disappoint! We got there during Happy Hour (4-6) and started with the Brussels sprouts and martinis (hand-stuffed blue cheese olives - so good!) Brussels were outstanding and a nice portion to share between two. Lots of choices on the Happy Hour menu but we decided to share the Orrechiette pasta Pomodoro from the regular menu. The bartender told us all of their pastas are made in-house which dictated our decision to try it. Very good and I would order again. The decor is neutral and my daughter and I both said, “It’s so cute in here!” If we lived in Tucson we would be regulars!

Friendly service and good food. The menu is limited though there is enough variety to please everyone. The portions were normal and healthy but some might think on the small side. They had a couple pasta dishes but I was surprised that they didn't offer a gluten free pasta option. The restaurant is a good choice for a quiet romantic dinner.

We have stopped at Commoner and Co. as we drive through Tucson and make it a priority, if possible, to eat at. We met friends here and unfortunately, the menu was much smaller, lacking the yummy seafood options and frankly, variety of options, I remember. The choices were pretty limited and while it all tasted fine, it didn't live up to our past experiences.

We had a wonderful meal here. The menu is eclectic, and the dishes prepared and served with care. We had the mussels, beet salad, kale salad, risotto, and both desserts, and all were excellent. We'll be back!

Really cool little place. Nice modern yet warm decor. Creative menu of both food and drink. Options are limited but still diverse enough to satisfy just about anyone. Leans into northern Italian fare, but still has its own unique style. Everything was well executed and presented. Prices are fair for a higher end experience. Location is great for anyone in the general NE, N Central part of Tucson. We really liked our, and will be back.

Checked this place after years of seeing it but never committing. It was a good time. The artichoke dip was amazing. I ordered the half bird and enjoyed it but ordered extra sauce that it came with cause it just needed it. My husband got the meatloaf and the only complaint was the carrots could have been cooked a little longer cause they had a slight crunch to them still. My resteraunt pet peeve is that when the food comes out, I don't want to wait to eat it cause it's so hot. I really hate that. Second complaint is the lighting was very dark. I enjoy a dimmness but this was too dark. I noticed some lights where out around our table and maybe if they worked it would have made it brighter. One last suggestion is that I ordered the Hefenweiser and I wished it came with a orange slice. Other then that we had a great dinner and the food was great. Would go again for special occasion.

The restaurant was freezing. The service wasn't very attentive. What we ordered was fine but the menu needs an update. The donuts with chocolate and the drinks were the highlights.

I love commoner - the food is great. The only reason I’m giving a low rating is that they stopped serving brunch and I’ve never forgiven them. Best weekend brunch ever and I never understood why they stopped. Please bring it back!!!! I’d rate you a 5 if it weren’t for that.

The two pasta entree's were well prepared. The half chicken entree was perfectly cooked and moist. The lemon pie dessert was quite tasty, but the crust was very hard and uncuttable. The service was exceptionally good and attentive. Commoner is a good, consistent choice for the area. The food is generally quite tasty, though not exceptional. The menu choices are usually quite limited. It can be quite noisy when busy.

The service was good and that was the only thing that was good about the location. They have seriously reduced a menu removing a lot of fan favorites and ones that you find and reviews and pictures. We were celebrating a birthday and it was embarrassing to be at this restaurant. Severely disappointed
