The Tap Room at the historic Congress Hotel is a true Tucson treasure! Tucked inside a building full of character and history, this cozy bar hits all the right notes—from atmosphere to drinks to music.

John, the bartender, is absolutely top-notch. His Old Fashioned is one of the best I’ve had—expertly crafted, smooth, and perfectly balanced. You can tell he knows his way around a bar and genuinely cares about creating a great experience for every guest....
The Hotel Congress is a wonderful historic hotel. The cafe offers a great breakfast and lunch. The two times I’ve been there I’ve been very pleased with our meals. They’re dog friendly too! We were able to bring our Gracie out on the patio.

While you would certainly come to the Tap Room to order draft beer in the afternoon, do not be afraid to request a craft cocktail from their bartenders. In this case Noah fashioned a spectacular take on a Daiquiri which made my short list of best drinks I had on my most recent visit to Tucson.

Parking: Several options nearby both in garages and on the street
