Great food, great service, would 100% recommended
Ate here with a group of 15, and although the food was ready (as we had preordered) at arrival, it felt uncomfortable to be outside and seated in such reduced space. It seemed that to save space they sat two people per a table side, which typically fits one. It was difficult to pull out a chair, and even more difficult for the staff to move around the table to serve anyone. The entire reason we asked to be seated outside was to be comfortable in space, and it was a beautiful day out in Tucson. Once the plates were served the staff disappeared, there was no follow up to see if anyone in the group needed anything else, and when eventually someone came by, service was not completed. The checks everyone received were however met with a 20% gratuity added. One separate check was created to charge a one-3 ounce cup of juice, which additionally included a 20% gratuity. Unfortunately this juice was served accidentally by the server, since the person who ordered could not attend this order had been cancelled. So I, worried they would just waste it, asked to keep it. I have never felt so guilty about eating out than in this experience. The juice, no alcohol by the way, was 9 dollars. The food is okay in taste, but definitely not deemed a $40 dollar lunch. Especially not while sitting on the crack of two tables pushed together. Additionally, the servings are regular size, they use what appeared to be medium size eggs which are pretty small. The potatoes are always great. The biscuits and gravy were not the best, unless you really like light gravy and high pepper taste. The English muffin was hard. I consciously decided not to return to Cup Cafe, as it left me with a very negative feeling. The servers were so inattentive, that one person in our group asked for a box (to go) and 15 minutes later the box had yet to arrive, one of our group members walked to the kitchen to ask for one. Once again, this would not matter had they not charged 20% gratuity and already provided vague service. So best of luck if you’re visiting Cup Cafe, perhaps your experience will be different, better. This was my second time visiting, the first time the food was great but i ordered something else. However the space was even worse, we sat inside the restaurant. We ate elbow to elbow. The service was okay though.

Fantastic all the way! The breakfast potatoes and cinnamon buttermilk pancakes are out of this world! Must try! Service was exceptional. The atmosphere is vintage and always lively/busy.

First, I like this restaurant, eat here often, and will return again for breakfast or dinner when I am in Tucson. However, last night they weren't on their A-game. The manager was great regarding our concerns. Dont let this review stop you from making a reservation. I had one bump in the road out of many great experiences. Check out their jazz club or live entertainment on the patio.
On the move again and found ourselves needing to get something to eat. Had a craving for breakfast and Cup Cafe won the search. Nestled inside the classic Hotel Congress. This quaint spot has a very rustic vibe. Plenty of exterior seating, cozy interior feel. Excellent customer service from start to finish and the food was excellent. Make sure you check out the quote wall. Parking will be a challenge, however, there are parking structures well within walking distance. Also, several other venues such as other restaurants, convention center, even multiple hotels and public service facilities. Will be visiting again.

We are a longtime fans of the cup, but the last two times we have visited it has fallen short. I asked for a medium burger and it came out well done. The soup had absolutely zero flavor, and the server actually agreed. We love their strawberry cheesecake, but seasonally they were out of it this time. I hope they improve their food quality because their desserts remain always on point.

Breakfast was excellent, server was attentive, and it is a fun place to eat - especially on Dillinger Day. (Get there early and there still be a wait, but worth it!)

We had an amazing meal, ordering 4 different entrees amoung our group. Everything was exceptional... The mains were perfectly cooked and delicious, and each dish had unique sides that were perfectly paired. The cocktails and desserts were excellent, too. Definitely an evening to remember!

Great experience on our first visit to Tucson!! Our server Nick was an excellent!! Very personable, engaging and welcoming!!
The menu and food was very good. The curry dish and tortellini were excellent. The Oreo cheesecake was superb, but the bread pudding was a bit dry and could have used topping on it versus drizzled on the plate. The service was a bit slow, and the food took a bit longer than expected top arrive. However, overall, The Cup was The Cup! It was very good, and we will certainly go back.
Wonderful place! Food is all home made and excellent though a bit pricey. Ambience is a bit loud, but the historical significance and charm outweighs all this. Best country fried tofu sandwich ever! Hard to find good vegetarian options with this much flavor. Friendly and quick service and staff. Great for a stroll down town to for Dillinger Days!! One of my favorite spots to brunch or dinner before a show downtown.
