Today is the first time for me to try Dave’s hot chicken, I have always been skeptical of it from the advertisement, however, I had a long shift at work and wanted to try something new.
Upon walking in Kayla(kim) I don’t remember her name precisely, but the ticket read Kayla.
She knew exactly why I wanted, she was friendly, and very helpful when I felt overwhelmed by the menu and new options I had never seen before. She is literally working the counter by herself for lunch rush. If that is not star behavior, I don’t know what is.
The specific location is now marked on my favorite spot on the east side of Tucson, I’ll be sure to come back even if it’s just for the chicken and host of having more people like her. 🥰

The food?? INSANE. I normally hate fries and coleslaw, but Dave’s has me DEVOURING both. Like… WHAT are they putting in this food?! Keith Lee was NOT lying — the hype is REAL. Also I LOVE the employees — literally some of the sweetest, happiest people I’ve ever met. Every single time I go to Dave’s, the vibe is AMAZING and the energy is unmatched. They really know how to make your day.

We love Dave's Hot Chicken! We always get the 2 slider meal and it's more than enough to split between 2 people. The food is always perfect and the service is as well! Kayla's taken our order a couple times now and she's the sweetest! Definitely one of our favorite places to meet for lunch!

The food is good, but wait times here are brutally long. I've been here on two separate occasions and dining in always yielded 45+ min. for a small order. And both times weren't crowded. Perhaps they might be slammed with food delivery orders.
