Loved it, one of the best pizzas in town but for whatever reason they closed down.

Dry River has closed their doors on Sunday June 23rd. Sorry to see them gone. I enjoyed this local pizza bar.

I ate here with a Meetup group two days ago. I had the antipasto platter appetizer, which comes with several cheeses, toast, two kinds of sliced meat, and olives and other marinated vegetables. It's filling enough for a dinner. I paid $15.58 including tax and tip. All in all, a satisfying if unexceptional experience.

This small and local pizza restaurant is just the thing for a great meal in an intimate setting out on the patio. Or if you are in a bar mood, sit inside at the bar. Servers are fun and very personable. I just love locally owned restaurants like this. Wood fired pizza is the latest rage and I can see why. dry River pizza does a great job!

We ordered the margarita pizza and barely had flavor. The crust was crispy but the rest was saggy, not sure if they put too much sauce or didn't cooked it long enough. The garlic bread was very good. They have happy hour from 3-6

So we have been coming here over 8 years and they have an excellent white pizza. Kirsten has taken care of us in great fashion. I even proposed to my wife upstairs here. I wish I could say the same for the owner. Not once in all the years we've been coming has he ever thanked us for the business, acknowledged our presence or done anything to encourage us to come back, so....we won't be coming back. We'll miss you Kirsten but there are too many pizza places with a limited wine list and even smaller selection of ipas. Had your boss once acknowledged us for 8 years of patronage we might come back but no. He alone blew this and hope he learns from this. Former Loyal customers.

Homemade pasta... Yum! It's really hard to find that in Tucson so I always get the pasta dishes here even the pizzas are good too. The chicken Parmesan comes with a BIG piece of chicken. The fettuccine Alfredo is super creamy. It comes with grilled chicken. We visited last weekend after a 2 year absence (Not Dry River's fault. We had a change of heart found another favorite. Now we're returning to this old flame). Food is still very good and surprisingly, prices haven't changed much while other Tucosn restaurants are jacking them for close to 20%. A pint of local beer is $4.60 and house red wine is $6 which are very reasonable. We're definitely going back for more for old time sake.

Friend and I ate here last night. Not many tables and much of the back seating area is dark so we sat near the front entrance with more light so we could at least read the menu. When we placed our order my friend asked "where do you want to sit?" I responded "near the front as the other seating areas are very dark". The woman who took our order said "Well, that's how we like it". Not initially very friendly. Ok- so here are pros and cons: Pros: Food - from the Caprese Salad with fresh Willcox tomatoes, Buffalo mozzarella, field greens and fresh basil with a wonderful aged Balsamic vineger; wood fired pizza- (1/2 pepperoni and 1/2 mushroom) was amazingly delicious with fresh, blend of cheeses and ingredients. Since all pizzas are the same size, they will happily do a 1/2 and 1/2 so you can try different pizzas. We also split the stuffed ravioli with Bolengese sauce. DE-licious- everything is homemade and as a lover of good Italian food, this really hit the mark. Also, the wine selection is small but drinkable and affordable ($6-8 for a generous pour in true wine goblets.) Cons: (Hence only 3 stars) Service was 'hit or miss'. You order at the counter then find a table or you can eat at the bar (not an issue). The woman who took our order brought our beverages and food to our table. We needed to get up a couple of time to get fresh (cheap) paper naptkins ( ones you would find at a fast food place). However, she did remove our finished plates/glasses and seemed to become more pleasant the longer we were there (and the more wine we ordered). Major CON: This place is in urgent need of a serious cleaning. The ceiling ducts are filthy as are the wine/glass displays by the bar. I would hate to see this place in full sunlight! Bathroom was passable but, again, observed in low lighting. I would be afraid to see the kitchen............. This place has the opportunity to become an amazing local restaurant but it will take committment from the owners and staff to bring it to 5 stars.

Coming from New Haven, CT I was so happy to have finally found a respectable pizza place in the Tucson area. Very good crust with some great flavors on the pie.

We stopped in for a couple quick appetizers before the movie. The food was really good and tasty. The service was very friendly as well. We got the garlic bread with mozzarella cheese and bruschetta. Both dishes had a really good flavor to them and we will absolutely go back and try the pizza next time.
