This is disappointing! This was the best place to grab a burger and beer. They always had great service and food and the selection of beverages was amazing. Loved the atmosphere too! This is sad 😔 You get a one star because you are closed.

Please be advised that E. River Bar inside the Whole Foods market at Craycroft and River Road will be closing after Nov 3! We went for burgers and beer last night and saw this sign at the bar. Regulars at the bar said the sign went up about a week ago. Servers behind the bar said corporate did not give a reason for this closure. The burger and beer were excellent as usual. Just to be clear this little gem of a pub is the HEART AND SOUL of this Whole Foods. All the regular customers at the bar last night are heartbroken. Some have been regulars since it opened over 5 years ago, and said first they cut the menu items, then they cut the days/hours to 3 days/week and now this. We can only guess that corporate will fill this space with flip flops and t-shirts or worse expand the Amazon package pick up in this space. What a waste of space. There are few quality spots like this in this NE area of Tucson.

This place has totally gone downhill over the past years. Not sure why, but they really don't care about beer. The bartenders don't know how to pour, and give you 2" of foam. The other Whole Foods bar is far superior.

A favorite place to shop in Tucson, great cheese and olive selection , great produce and fruit, friendly and fun
Great store. It’s big and fresh and pretty good prices for a “specialty” food store. Lots to talk about but let’s talk oysters. On Fridays, they have multiple options and all are $1 each. That is pretty amazing! VictorB
This place doesn't make there coffee shop employees use gloves after taken your money then they also put thur nasty hands on on coffee cup mouth.. Filed complaint with the manager whitch was so hard to understand with her Russian accent that nothing but me never going back is all that happened....Megan witch was other manager was also very much not interested in the fact THAT NO GLOVES AT COFFEE SHOP...
The menu changes from time to time and we've tried a variety of items. While the menu isn't very long, there's always an interesting variety, some good options. The food is prepared after placing an order at the bar. It's definitely "slow food," but worth it. And, they offer an excellent variety of brews, some local, some from way off. The choice of brews and wines changes too. We always go for lunch, but every day they offer a special and a special for happy hour.
We sometimes shop here for the best quality and variety of foods. Upscale and somewhat pricy. They get upscale customers.
I live very close and must say it’s a great up-beat place to shop. The best part is there’s a bar in the middle with very reasonable pricing, wines, specials and happy hour. The team that works there Michael, Courtney et al are terrific.
Great Whole foods. Lovely display of foods.

Great place for lunch, from the bar or any of the other hot food venders in the store.
Love Whole foods
Not only could you eat high end foods and cheeses but you could go to the fish counter and then when you checked out you could use Amazon Prime to get discounts. They gave me ice for the drive back to the hotel in the heat! Staff was very helpful and nice. I wish I had one in my city.
Love Whole foods
We've purchased sandwiches at this Wholefoods Deli counter many times during our previous visits and this time did not disappoint on the quality of produce or flavour. There variety of breads is still above average and their set combination of ingredients is enough to sate the most curious. Really good sandwiches, What we were a little surprised at this time around was the total lack of interest or customer service being offered by the woman preparing our sandwiches. Curt, disinterested, very fed up, almost surly. It wasn't our fault she had to work on the sandwich counter, but she sure made it feel that way. Thankfully, this did not deter her from producing a really good sandwich, so, in her defence, she didn't let her mood get in the way of her professional sandwich making. We'll try again, next time we're visiting, perhaps the sun will be shining.
