Our recent dining experience was a true celebration of Mexican cuisine at its finest. From the moment we stepped through the door, we were greeted with the tantalizing aromas of traditional spices and savory delights, setting the stage for an unforgettable meal. To start our culinary journey, we indulged in the café de olla , a rich and aromatic coffee infused with cinnamon and piloncillo. The aguas frescas were as delish! Sipping the cafe de olla transported me to the streets of Mexico, where each sip was a symphony of flavors that awakened the senses and prepared us for the feast ahead. For our main course, we opted for the pollo en mole, a classic dish that showcased the restaurant's dedication to authentic flavors and culinary craftsmanship. The tender chicken bathed in a velvety mole sauce, bursting with layers of complexity and depth. Each bite was a harmonious blend of sweet, spicy, and savory notes, leaving us craving more with every forkful. But the delights didn't stop there. We also sampled the tortas, generously stuffed with tender meats, creamy avocado, and crisp lettuce, all sandwiched between pillowy bolillo rolls. The combination of textures and flavors was nothing short of divine, making each bite a symphony of satisfaction. And let's not forget about the enmoladas, a true testament to the restaurant's mastery of Mexican cuisine. These delicate corn tortillas were filled with savory fillings and smothered in a luscious mole sauce, creating a dish that was both comforting and indulgent.Throughout our meal, the service was impeccable, with attentive staff ensuring that every need was met and every dish was served with care and precision. In summary, our visit was nothing short of spectacular. From the first sip of café de olla, & aguas frescas to the last bite of enmoladas, every aspect of our meal was a testament to the restaurant's commitment to excellence and passion for authentic Mexican cuisine. Whether you're craving classic dishes like pollo en mole or eager to explore new culinary delights, you will leave satisfy!

We have eaten twice at this restaurant, a dinner and a lunch. It is just down the street from St Mary's hospital which makes it convenient to eat at after a doctor's appointment. We were fortunate to arrive just before the crowds came to the restaurant. We were seated quickly and the waiter took our drink order when we sat down and left us with a very enticing menu. For dinner I selected the mole dish and it was wonderful. My daughter and my wife had different dishes that included the chile relleno and chicken enchiladas. Their rice side is perfect and the entire meal was rich in flavor. For lunch I had a pork burrito and Kathy had a tostada topped with nopal. The tostado was perfect and the cilantro sauce added a refreshing finish. For both meals the portions were large and I brought home half of my dinner and lunch.m This is just a small restaurant in a strip mall. The place is very family oriented and families made up more than half the tables. It is a noisy as everyone was having conversations with each other. They do take out and use DoorDash for deliveries. We will be eating there every time we have doctor's appointment.

Beautiful spot! Lots of things I would recommend getting, only one that we were not impressed with: the nopalito salad. Unfortunately this appetizer was just not very flavorful/seasoned, although I will say it did taste very fresh. Our chips and salsa were wonderful, everyone liked their entrees (of which they have an ample array) and the cafe de olla was my personal favorite. I will definitely be coming back to this cozy spot soon to try more things!!

Went finally to try this restaurant, its close to us and I've heard really good things about the gorditas, well if I'm eating at a Puebla cuisine place I'm asking the Mole Poblano! and that's what I had, the service took longer than expected, the food was warm almost cold, the tortillas were cold so I asked for more tortillas, took 20 minutes to get more hot tortillas and by then my meal was cold! Its a shame that the service is so bad! details like these are really important, for my son and I we spent $$$$55 usd. This is just too expensive for a mexican restaurant and a bad service, maybe Ill go back to try the gorditas but first try was terrible! Better step up the service.

I got the mole enchiladas, my wife the chili relleno combo. The salsa with the opening chips was delicious, just the right heat and cilantro flavor. The poblano mole, their signature dish, was tasty, spicy and sweet, with a hint of cinnamon and a smoky finish. My wife noted that the relleno had a nice egg batter and cheesy without being at all greasy. We had the chocolate flan for dessert. An interesting confection of moist chocolate cake topped with an ample layer of vanilla flan! Yum We will be back, as this could become our new favorite!

Great food and service we loved the mole and the green sauce enmoladas. The salsa was great with the chips. I wouldn't get the carrot cake as it had no carrots that I could taste or see. Also no beer!

We tried El Antojo Poblano because a friendly Yelp!er suggested it along with Buendia Cafe, La Chaiteria, and Del Cielo Tamales. We work and don't have time or budget for very expensive leisure breakfast/lunch places. But we were intrigued by El Antojo Poblano: it's close to where we live, has stellar reviews, and serves southern Mexican dishes rarely seen in American restaurants. We really wanted to like the place. And we didn't exactly dislike it. But $46.28 later for two entrees and no drinks (including a mystery 50 cent "service charge"), I'm not sure we'll be back. The decor is nice and the bespoke dishware and basketry couldn't be cuter. But the place is already clattery loud. And that was made worse by a nice lady on a bad PA doing her best rendition of Mexican (I think) songs. Bottom line: this wasn't the place for an intimate conversation. For all the diners at 6pm-ish on a Friday, there were only two people working as servers. And the young woman who waited on us seemed to be doing 90 percent of the work. The net result was a 15 minute wait for our check after we were well ready to go. Which is never a fun way to end a meal.

The mole con pollo was absolutely delicious. I would order it again. However I was expecting two chicken thighs (per the pictures from the menu) for the $20 price tag. We ordered pick up/take out and only received one chicken thigh. The chicken flautas were bland however the salsa made things much more palatable. The salsa is definitely top 10. I can't speak to the service or ambiance because we did take out. The agua fresca jamaica (hibiscus juice) was VERY delicious. I will be back to eat in house and try some different options for sure. Keep this one on your list. Sorry no pictures. We were ravenous and plated were pretty empty by the time I realized I need to snap a photo.
