For our next hotdog contender we chose el guero Canelo. We chose the Sonoran dog and horchata for our meal. The Sonoran dog was subpar with a too soggy steamed bun, more tomato than dog and each bite was the same as the last. The bacon wrapped around the dog was thin and almost tasteless, the sauces were there but not flavorful. Overall a great experience but the hotdogs were just lackluster. Great place and atmosphere though!

on the search for the best hotdog in tucson, we have el guero canelo, we chose the sonoran dog. and i will say it was lack luster, too much bun, not enough hotdog. my first initial bite was entirely bread. too many toppings, and the hotdog itself was very small in comparison to the bun. will return to try the sammy dog.

Heard about these from the Dirt in my Shoes podcast about Saguaro National Park, and had to try them. Wife got the regular hot dog and I got the all beef one.. the all beef one is HUGE by the way, they stuff those things. We both got different toppings but it was really good. I had to scrape off some of the tomatoes as they pile it high. Worth a quick stop, and great prices for what you get!
Only downside was the drive thru took at least 10 but probably closer to 15 minutes before we got our food. Same time as those waiting inside, I'm sure, but it is not a fast drive thru if that is what you are hoping for. Not enough to bring down the rating though!

Taco Tuesday. $1.99 chicken or beef tacos. Comes with Salsa, guacamole and limes. We like to order beans to go with our tacos. 4 tacos and 1/2 pint of beans for under $10. Can't beat that! Everything was yummy. (I wish they would add cheese to the tacos and beans).
