So sorry this place closed. Im happy for the owners and their new found freedom. I hope you are blessed every day.

Unique. Sense of community. Three generations of women run the place, and I loved them all! The youngest was on waitstaff and made sure I felt at home. I was able to talk to the abuelita who seems like the “espíritu” of the place. I wouldn’t hesitate to visit there, and eat sumptuously!

A little pricey for what is served, but no complaints on flavor or waitstaff.

I went here before quarantine and I was very upset with the food. I found a hair in it and they refund my money. However I didn't feel as if they really cared. It took time to go get dirty food to have to drive back to return

Delicious local Mexican food! Don't get fooled by the outside of this restaurant, come on in to taste some delicious authentic Mexican food! Prices are quite reasonable for the amount of food you receive... I order the montezuma seafood plate and that was amazing, shrimp, scollops and a big sea bass fish for only 14.95 for dinner, yay! No kids menu though...Prices on drinks and mArgaritas is pretty reasonably as well. Definitely will be coming back for more. Date of visit 2/2

Just came back to Tucson from Phoenix and our first stop was El Indio. This is our favorite place to eat whenever we are hungry and I don't want to cook. Always yummy with great friendly service and the place is clean, clean, clean. Treat yourself. Best tamales Ive ever eaten..... anywhere.

Good food.... Service ... Not enough workers. Potatoes were not good. Like cooked in old grease. Left them.

We couldn't get into the famed Mi Nidito, so we decided to try El Indio. Our friends who grew up here had previously recommended it. We got there at 2:00 pm; service was fine; place was clean. We ordered a bowl of caldo de queso and it was great!! Then we ordered 2 combination plates, (Chicken flautas and Chile Colorado), both were excellent and prices were reasonable; everything was just as good as Mi Nidito. We're coming here from now on!!

El Indio never disappoints. The food is delicious and the prices are good. The atmosphere is casual and the service has always been great. Two thumbs up!

I rarely give five stars. I reserve five stars for exceptional service, and product, as well as atmosphere. I'll start with the food. The food here is authentic Mexican cuisine at it's finest. I swear they have some ancient secrets that give their food and extra zing. Everytime I leave here I leave with great feelings and great expectations of the next visit. The seasoning choice is spot on and the proportions are ample. The service here is exceptional the servers and wait staff are helpful without hovering. The atmosphere is festive without being intrusive to your thoughts. This is a place for family, or a first date. They have clean everything including the restrooms. The prices are moderate and affordable. They have something tasty for any budget. I do highly recommend this restaurant if your in the area and especially if your not lol.

The poor lady who was trying to cover the restaurant all by herself did the best she could. The service was horrible and it made my guests late for their presentation. We arrived about 9:30 am and the restaurant was already getting full. I ordered a caldo de mariscos. It was good and the only thing I would order in this restaurant. Thus the second star.
