Can't say enough about this restaurant!! I remember eating there whn I was 14. I'm 38 now. Some of the staff still work from back then to this day!!!! Love the lunch special and shredded beef plate but u cant go back wit anything on the menu. Would RECOMMEND HIGHLY to anyone new to Tucson or from here tht never ate there.. best Mexican spot in town and not expensive good price.

Delicious! We are staying around the corner and found this place. Tried the cheese crisp and the shredded beef enchiladas (came with rice and beans), and margaritas. Everything was delicious! Definitely recommend!

El Minuto is a slice of old Tucson. We come whenever we're in town.

First the good: El Minuto is clean and nice and the service is prompt. Now the bad: food and beverage. The house margarita looked like Mountain Dew and tasted like lime jello. The carne asada burrito was well presented and full of meat, but frankly dry and bland. The enchilada sauce is overwhelmingly smoky. Could not recommend the restaurant.

If you are into amazing, homemade Mexican dishes, nothing fancy baked portions wonderful tasting food. Even the salsa is delicious on a scale of one to 10 I give this place a solid 8. You can’t go wrong. This is the kind of go to place also very very reasonably priced check it out. You won’t be sorry. I had the Minute special everything on the plate was amazing. My wife and guest all agreed excellent food.

Nice little Mexican restaurant downtown, close to the convention center and arena for a bite before a show. We had never been here despite this place being considered a Tucson gem. We were seated right away and the entire staff is very warm and friendly, I believe it is family owned and run. Had the house margaritas (okay), a bean chimichanga for me and Menudo for the hubs. Food was good, but nothing with a wow factor particularly given its Tucson and there are tons of great Mexican restaurants everywhere. Solid meal, nothing more nothing less!
