First the good: El Minuto is clean and nice and the service is prompt. Now the bad: food and beverage. The house margarita looked like Mountain Dew and tasted like lime jello. The carne asada burrito was well presented and full of meat, but frankly dry and bland. The enchilada sauce is overwhelmingly smoky. Could not recommend the restaurant.

If you are into amazing, homemade Mexican dishes, nothing fancy baked portions wonderful tasting food. Even the salsa is delicious on a scale of one to 10 I give this place a solid 8. You can’t go wrong. This is the kind of go to place also very very reasonably priced check it out. You won’t be sorry. I had the Minute special everything on the plate was amazing. My wife and guest all agreed excellent food.

Nice little Mexican restaurant downtown, close to the convention center and arena for a bite before a show. We had never been here despite this place being considered a Tucson gem. We were seated right away and the entire staff is very warm and friendly, I believe it is family owned and run. Had the house margaritas (okay), a bean chimichanga for me and Menudo for the hubs. Food was good, but nothing with a wow factor particularly given its Tucson and there are tons of great Mexican restaurants everywhere. Solid meal, nothing more nothing less!

My favorite mexican food place from growing up here. All the authentic usuals prepared well - including multiple varieties of a cheese crisp which I feel is a Tucson specialty! Great family atmosphere and service make this a nostalgic must visit for me when Im in town!

dainty, bustling, tucked away, cute, delicious.
We walked in while wandering around the area on a Wednesday afternoon and needing a refreshment. thought it would just be a cafe but realized after walking in it was a full on restaurant. Stayed because of how busy it was so figured it had to be worth it. Definitely was! The server was very helpful with helping us choose a snack and the cheese crisp was perfection. Would love to come back and have a margarita next time I'm in the area.

Excellent experience all around. The food was fantastic and very reasonably priced. Our waiter was very attentive and got our food and drinks out very quickly as well as kept our chips and salsa full.

Found this place randomly. The parking lot was full, so I guessed the food would be good. It was better than good!
First, the food was amazing homestyle Mexican. Everything was fresh, and I was told these are family recipes. Prices are reasonable. And did I mention that the food was deliciously amazing?
Add in a singing Pepe' of "Hot plate 🎶 " as he delivered the food, and you also get a fun show. It's a family place and has the best vibe. It will feed your body and soul in the best way!

The upside: service was great.
The downside: worse margarita ever and the food was bland. Not sure how it has stayed open so long. Very disappointing.
