Sampler platter was piled on top of rice and taco was soggy and I believe the salsa was bad as I got diarrhea from something from there in about an hour after eating.

Food wasn't nearly as good as the last time I was here. And the food came out in intervals. The last person was served 20 minutes after the first person. The server was way over her capabilities to handle so many tables. ..thats a management issue!

The waitress was waiting on 2 tables at the same time, bringing out food to both, we had a table of 11 and one of our members had to wait 20 minutes for their food. Salsa tasted like a can of chopped tomatoes.

An average chimichanga. It lacked an appropriate amount of crispness. Service was on par, however.

Very good TexMex menu but not many choices for someone with a pescatarian diet. I ordered fish tacos, one of only two fish/seafood items on the menu, but was informed that they had no fish. So, I opted for the only other option -- shrimp fajitas. It was delivered in short order and was delicious. Compliments to the chef. So, if you are looking for classic TexMex, (beef, pork, cheese, tortillas, rice and beans), this is a highly rated restaurant. On the other hand, if you have dietary restrictions, there are limited options, unlike many other Mexican restaurants, some of which specialize in seafood.

The food is amazing and I love it. The only reason for the 3 stars and why I won't be back unfortunately is both times I have gone I was over charged. First time i let it go and figured there was an upcharge ffor an adult to get a kids plate (wasnt told that but okay no biggie) Second time made modifications (switched red sauce for white with enchiladas because of an allergy) was never told by the waiter there would be a charge when he told us about the white sauce option. Got the bill and the plate was rang up as more expensive than the menu stated. Asked why then was told with a simple shrug and a sorry. Love the food. Love the quantity for the price. However don't like the lack of communication and I have too many allergies to just get an item without modifying so not the place for me.

Worst chimi I have ever had. Next to NO CHICkEN, maybe a tablespoon at best. Mostly was like a tomato stew in the chimichanga with some green chilies. Totally awful. Was hard, get a waiter to take my order, and they never came back to the table after he dropped the food off. I am a native to Sonen and have been eating Mexican food for over 70 years and have eaten at this restaurant in the past. Don’t know what has happened but I do not recommend it anymore.

If you're looking for great Mexican food, I highly recommend El Molinito's. My dinner is based on the Pantano location. The food is excellent and great quality. They have hands-down the best frijoles in Tucson, if not the country. I am a margarita snob and always order top shelf or Cadillac, except for here. Their house margarita is great just as is. The service is always friendly and prompt. The restaurant has an ambiance suitable for families, but also has a bar for those coming solo or wanting to watch the game or for a quick meal. They also have an outdoor patio.

Smelled like a latrine..server did not return to table after food was served..had to ask for bill..did not ask if we wanted anything more or how was the food. Table of 6.
