Since moving from San Diego to Tucson, one of the things I’ve missed most is being able to grab El Pollo Loco for lunch a couple of times a week. The food was always fresh, filling, and full of flavor — it became a regular part of my routine. I haven't found anything nearby that hits the spot.
I recently tried a location here in Tucson since I had to run some errands in town. The food, as always, was delicious but the real highlight of my visit was an outstanding cashier named AB. AB was incredibly friendly, professional, and genuinely made the experience better with their great attitude and attention to detail. It's rare these days to come across someone who clearly cares about the customer experience, but AB definitely does.
While I may not get to enjoy El Pollo Loco as often as I used to, I’m glad to know there’s a solid location here in Tucson — and having someone like AB on the team makes all the difference. I’ll definitely be back.

The moment you walk into 5601 E. Broadway Blvd you are immediately greeted by friendly staff. The facility was extremely clean. The service was top-notch. Erika gave exceptional service. I believe she is a manager and Bri . I will definitely consider this location for our company potlucks and our birthday parties. Amazing service amazing food.!!!!!

For a total of 15.75 you can buy nachos with the grilled chicken upgrade,the normal comes with shredded chicken, once your order comes you find out they threw in a few nachos and a small amoot of shredded chicken not the upgrade that you paid for, if that's not enough the nacho portion is very very small, other then that they do give you the exact change back so I guess that's good

Charged me $4.79 for a very tiny side order of beans! Absolutely rip off. It’s a shame that their chicken is good as I will not be back. Fix this Pollo Loco!!

The reason they are getting two stars is when you order buy one get one you never get the second meal. This has happened twice, uber eats fixed and we our money refunded. The food is good, it's the delivery. Normally we don't get the two for one. I'm pissed cause it happened twice.
I am disgusted with the service I received today. You walk in and everyone avoids taking your order then to make matters worse. I Waited 30 mins for a pick up order that was behind the counter the entire time just sitting. There was only one girl in the kitchen today and I would advise finding a new career path customer service is not for you. She’s the one I confirmed my order with. She looks irritated to be there and she made continuous eye contact with me knowing my food was sitting there freezing. How do you allow any customer to stand in your waiting area and not acknowledge them waiting or confirm if they need something? Terrible experience!
