Wonderful food & beer, (Carta Blanca which isn't widely available everywhere.) Love their cauliflower tacos. Sauce on the sea bass is to die for. Really flavorful chicken tacos. Hopping on Saturday night during Gem Show but we still waited less than 15 min for a table. Acoustics are the usual Tucson echochamber and parking is creative. Worth the trip every time.

3.5 stars rounded up for my review. Dined here today at off hours. It was only us 3 and another couple in the restaurant. Ordered chips/salsa and a chili crisp to start. Both were forgotten about and brought out after we got our entrees. The crisp was missing the hatch chilis. I ordered a margarita which was also forgotten about for 20+ minutes. The food and drinks were good overall! I’d come back for the food and hope I get a different server.

This place looked promising, a hole in the wall with bad parking, a good looking menu, the reviews. I got the ground beef patty taco combo plate, but it doesn't come with salsa and was a bit salty. Chips and salsa come with the meal, which is nice. But Little Mexico does this exact plate AND serves chips and salsa with crema for $2.00 less, and they're excellent. Someone else mentioned the tourist ratio, and I'd have to agree. I've been to too many really good Mexican places and food trucks I guess, this was good, just not as good as all the hype.

Great food. Try the Loca crisp to start. Margaritas were delicious. The patty tacos were unusual and very good. Don't let the location and building discourage you from trying this little gem.

Everything here is great! The traditional fare, the fusion fare, the staff, and the craft cocktails especially. The staff behind the bar surw do know their liquor and really impressed us with their knowledge of recipes and even history.

This little restaurant is a nice family friendly place. The food is unique, and tasty. The service was great. We never had to flag down our server, but she didn't hover, either. Her recommendations were perfect for our family. We really enjoyed our dinner at El Torero.

Upon entering, I noticed the vast majority of the patrons were tourists/non-locals. While not an immediate deal breaker, it’s rarely a promising sign for authenticity. The food was just 'okay'—the beans felt dry and lacked freshness, as if they were leftovers from the night before. While the albondigas had a nice flavor, the soup was overwhelmingly filled with rice, which overshadowed the meat. I went in with an open mind, but ultimately, the experience didn't live up to the hype.
