Service was great. Seating was not very comfortable (booth). Food was not great. My NY Strip was over-cooked. My wife's ribs were minimal with too much over-cooked risotto. Wine by the glass is overpriced (5-6 oz price for about a 4 oz pour). Very limited vegetable choice.

Stayed at the resort here. Made 6:00pm reservation. Wife and I were walking through resort, upon passing the restaurant we thought rather than walk back to our room lets see if we can get into the restaurant now, the hostess said “unfortunately we can not let you come in until your 6pm reservation, it was 5:30 and the restaurant was empty. Okay so we said we would go sit by the pool for a half hour. At 5:58pm they let us in and sat us at our table ( it was still empty!). Anyway, the menu was small and appeared to be Mexican inspired ( we love Mexican food). The menu was a mess, it looked like the chef wanted to make Mexican food but was lost. Nothing was true Mexican except for the $9 salsa and chips. We were disappointed entirely with the menu but we figured we would give it a shot with an appetizer (not $9 chips and salsa). We ordered mussels against our best judgment, the mussels were in a beef chorizo and cheese sauce that had parsley in it ( where is the cilantro?). As I stated before the chef seems lost, confused or just unsure what direction to go in. The sauce was thick, pasty and not pleasing to the pallet. Other items on the menu appeared to have the same confused mix match of ingredients. Don't get me wrong, if you want to be known as a Mexican restaurant serve Mexican food not some dreamt up ingredient hodge- podge that a Mexican inspired chef thinks people will like. Ironically the next morning we walked past the restaurant on our way back from breakfast elsewhere, there is a video attached to the menu at the restaurant's entrance which clearly shows a chef prepping, roasting and smoking a prime rib, then carving a beautiful thick slice and placing it on a bed of mashed potatoes with heirloom carrots, guess what folks!?, there is NO prime rib even on the menu!!!!!

Our food took almost an hour to come out of the kitchen and that was annoying and inconvenient, especially since we came to dinner with our hungry 2 year old. What saved the dinner was our waitress, Lisa. She was amazing, attentive, communicative, accurate and very personable. The salmon and side of asparagus was really good, but the vegetarian enchiladas and tuna plate were just ok. Drinks were strong, which isn't a complaint necessarily.

The resort is a very nice setting with its outdoor patios and spacious grounds. Restaurant seating is either indoors or outdoors. The inside has unique and appealing architecture. The food and service were excellent.

This is a nice quiet restaurant at an amazing resort. The menu was somewhat limited, though that is not a big deal. Makes for an easier decision. I can't comment on the draft beer as the tap was broken, but they had a decent selection of bottled beer. The water was especially good, for some reason. It's a nice place to walk around the grounds, and that adds to the reason to go to Epiazote.

After a wait to get to us, Isa was an amazing server. It was my mom's 70th birthday, so we were staying at the resort and she helped make the evening special. If the food would have matched Isa's service it would have been 5 stars! The biscuits were the best part of the meal. Some of our food was bland (the chicken Mac and the poke bowl) whereas the veggie tacos were very over spiced. Overall it was decent.

The food was delicious for most of what I and my group ordered. Also beautifully presented. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The atmosphere is calm and relaxed. There is an outside dining area with heaters, as well as a small bar area in addition to the main dining room. The cocktails and mocktails were divine! Great selection of menu items with vegetarian/vegan options as well. The beans I had were slightly over salted, and the spinach salad could have used more goat cheese, strawberries, and the specialized candied pecans than what they provided. It was a great salad just not enough of those ingredients. The desserts were also quite amazing. On the whole this is a great restaurant to try!Vegetarian options: Tacos, enchiladas, robust salads

Oktober was a wonderful server. The menu had so many options it was hard to choose! The food came put fast (but not too fast), and the ambiance on the patio was tranquil. The food was delicious! It was a 5-star experience!!

Very nice atmosphere. Good service. Well prepared entrees. Extremely Overpriced cocktails. We were charged $25 apiece for Manhattan cocktails. Standard Manhattan on the menu was $14. Yes, we called our brand, but the brands were very common. They were not the type of brand that would be $95 at a liquor store.

Nothing wrong with it but nothing memorable either… seemed like a typical hotel lobby restaurant.Chicken tacos were good but shishito pepper plate was WAY too big, and the bed of lettuce they were served on didn’t make a lot of sense to me, but service was friendly. Atmosphere generally just kinda dead…. Unfinished gray concrete columns in what was supposed to be a Spanish restaurant… hmmm

For a hotel bar and restaurant, the prices were reasonable, and portion size was generous. They had a nice live band, for a Wednesday evening it was pretty good.

Made a reservation for 8pm for new years eve and brought my wife and 2 kids to eat together. My 9 year old son got his chicken tenders with French fries and shared with his little 8 month old sister. While we just waited for almost 2 hours for our food to arrive. We let them know that we are leaving and want the food to go, then like 15 minutes later the food gets made for us to take. Yeah we're not going back that's for sure. And I'm also letting others know not to waist their time going here.P.s There was a couple next to us that arrived at the same time and had the same issue as we did. They left right before us.Update:I just saw what I got for my takeout and this food NY strip isn't worth the price. GO SOMEWHERE BETTER!!!!

We ate here on New Year's Eve. They had a special menu or you could order off the regular menu. They messed up my wife's drink. It took 15 minutes to get service to correct the drink. Everything was running slow. The Tacos did not seem to have all the ingredients. The swordfish was good. Several diners had issues with their meals. Wasn't sure if they were understaffed. It was not a good night.

Ate early on New Year's Eve from the standard menu. Food came fast and accurately. Not impressed by the ambiance in the section we sat in. Might have been better on the side near the outside windows.
