2024 review: while ermanos is technically a bar, I just come here for the food. Their specials are often amazing. They had some really yummy latkes a few years back for a special. When they had it, I LOVED the chickpea torta. I always get the fries when I go, and you can't forget the cauliflower wings too! They even have a vegan aolie that is very yummy

Sorry to state that this place has really gone down hill since I last visited in the spring … I was told new ownership and a new chef. So sad for what felt like a Tucson local’s place. They have a new menu that just doesn’t work - $16 for a pretty good burger but $8 extra for fries??? Most 16 oz beers are now 13 oz … for $8 … just makes you feel taken advantage of. Sure there’s a new swank apartment building across the street and 4th ave is a hot spot. You still need to care about your people.

Absolute favorite downtown hangout. Chill atmosphere, open floor plan, front and back patios and exquisitely intimate and photogenic cocktail lounge (aka Portal).
I miss the Old Pueblo burger, but you know what I've had it probably 50 times Already and their new smash burger looks amazing too. I had the delicious, crunchy and saucy fried chicken sandwich today cause I'm a sucker for routine and familiarity but I'm definitely going to try out the new menu asap.
This is my favorite place to meet a friend for a meal or just sit down at the bar by myself any old time and have a beer and an artfully crafted bite to eat. High ceilings and professional sound engineering gives a feeling of spacious comfort and privacy with your group while always being able to easily get the attention of the friendly and attentive wait staff.
Prices are very fair!!
Also, HUGE beer selection.

Ermanos was one of my favorite places to dine, enjoyed all the tabs of beer they had available even though I’m not a beer drinker. I’d always dive into their many flavors. Their food was delicious. My last visit which was last night, service was amazing, atmosphere was great but the food felt like bar food. All of a sudden it felt like it came out of microwave or out of a can. the fish tacos are flavorless. The Birria tacos flavorless. I do miss the old menu that’s for sure.

Love the design of the space and the change in lighting/ambiance. Seat yourself One of the bar backs was eating as I walked in but cordial. I got water and a drink order in, within 3 minutes of sitting down. Came at 430pm and only two other tables (HH 4-6 daily) Drinks are 3-4 oz at $14 is disappointing :( they tasted good but could be a little more balanced. Music in the kitchen competes with the music in the patron area. Servers were attentive but I prefer to enjoy time with those I am with rather than being asked every 10 minutes (timed it) if anything else was needed. I think there couoved been better balance. Tacos were cool to mix and match but $13 for two tacos and No sides in Tucson is not good. Overall would go back but it's pricey for what is offered.

This review is late because I’ve been dealing with the ER and follow ups after eating here. We came the week before and everything was delicious. Came back the next week and ate outside again and we was halfway done with our burgers and a quarter of the way thru our loaded steak nachos before we noticed everything was very very very raw when I turned on my phone camera to get some pictures and video the food. I spent 12 solid hours vomiting uncontrollably and ended up in the emergency room. It’s a shame because I really liked this place but you get me this bad and I’ll never come back. You can kill people that way. 😬 UPDATED: also it’s been a looooooong time since this happened at this point and nobody from management has apologized for putting me in the hospital or even approached this review. Says a lot about the owner.
As a fellow business owner here in Tucson, I’m ashamed of you and I tell everyone I know now to eat here at their own risk regardless of how good it looks and let them know what happened to me and how nobody has even apologized. Weak sauce.

Had a great time until the kitchen closed and the kitchen decided to play black metal so loud we couldn’t enjoy our dinner or atmosphere. When we started getting up, they changed the music to something easy to enjoy. No need to be so passive aggressive. Not coming back!

Very tasty food and fun atmosphere with lots of different drinks options. This location gives the feel of a large city artisan bar with a wide selection of alcoholic drinks paired with a detailed-taste menu spanning local tastes to unique twists on general favorites. The spicy chicken sandwich was not really spicy, but was very tasty and the chicken was tender with a nice, crisp fried shell. The fries and nachos were surprising tasty as well. The decorations inside are complimentary to the neighboring Portal bar and modern. Kind staff and quick service as well.
