This has been the best place to buy low acid coffee. It tastes great! And I love the entire vibe and patriotic/pirate theme.

Went here to buy whole beans. Owner was very knowledgeable about his in-house roasts and helped me with a selection. Veteran-friendly establishment.

I got a sampler pack of the dark roast. It was Cutlass, Filthy Bastard, Shipwreck, and Dark Bite. My favorite was Dark Bite. They were all good. Cutlass to me seemed a Medium Dark roast. I will be getting more! :-)

I stopped in because of the reviews. The shop smelled good so I bought a pound of whole beans without tasting. I found the coffee bitter, with an unpleasant taste that lingers. The patriot vibe is also off-putting.

I order from this place on a semi-regular basis and their service is always consistently great along with their selection.

My only (extremely minor) gripe is that I would love to see more tea selections on their website!

I live in northern AZ but I still get these beans shipped because they're so good. Every roast is unique and has superb flavor. Never disappointed

Nice place to buy fresh roasted coffee. However, they don't brew and serve coffee at this location. My comment is not intended as a criticism of the business, just simply informational in nature. I definitely will return for more coffee.

Filthy Pirate Coffee is an amazing Veteran owned small business. The owners are the sweetest. A must try if you are a coffee connoisseur. The coffee is absolutely scrumptious.I first tried the Sumatra Dark Bite dark roast. I like how the bags are resealable and I don't have to transfer them to another container or a different bag entirely - these are also easy to store in the cabinet too or display because the labels are definitely appealing and stand out. I was prepared for the Sumatra to be a bit darker - it seemed more like a medium roast to me, the flavor was still delicious nonetheless. I could definitely taste the sweet earthy tones in it which I liked.I also tried the Man O War Bourbon Pecan Torte for the first time. Man O Man this one was #1 across the board both hot or iced with a tad bit of sweet cream added. Absolutely delicious!! If you just get near the bag you can smell it and instantly want a cup of coffee. Its a light to medium roast but you'd never know it. Perfect for the changing of the seasons.
