Great place for a cold beer and tasty burgers
This is a really cool place they cook your steak on a firepit, right in front of you, pretty cool. However, my steak (medium) was like a hockey puck yuk. My wifes steak (medium rare) was also like a hockey puck. The cook was very nice and explained that it was a small steak and it was hard to cook correctly. They have the name steakhouse in their name. Wow. We'll come back again and try again, but we will only give them one more chance.

Love their steaks and homemade blue cheese dressing. The Rainy Daze band was a nice extra for a great evening at Fred's.

The food in general was pretty basic. Barely seasoned. Who puts a fresh onion on a burger with an onion ring already on it, weird. The sausage in the sausage sandwich tasted like rubber with chili flakes on it. It wasn't the worst food but I'm surprised it's been around as long as it has.

This iconic business is such a delight. They cook your steak right there in the middle of the dining area on a big ol grill. It's just fantastic. I enjoy the rustic informal atmosphere with a rodeo on the cowboy channel every time we visit. Plus the outdoor patio and Xtra TVs for sports make it a comfortable place to bring your friends and family
