Fellow Hermosillense here 👋
I’m from Hermosillo where I can find lots of good taquerias any corner in Hermosillo.
Pero no por nada I could’ve gone to the south side of Tucson and eaten better for tacos. The carne asada estába bien dura (really tough). The meat was portion nicely but lacked flavor. The pork belly aguachile was 7.5/10 was good but felt for the price was to excessive for what I got.
We spoke Spanish and we were looked at questionably by our waiter which kind of started off in a sad start.
Shaved rib taco was super salty!
Over priced tacos with no flavor and salsas had no kick:(

The worse food I've eaten in Tucson , and I've eaten at MANY bad restaurants, but by far this is the worse one. The asada plate had just the piece of asada meat which was rubbery, 1 grilled jalapeño, one grilled onion, and a scoop of canned refried beans, NASTY. I don't understand how these places exist. But I did see a bunch of white people there. Not good because they will believe this is authentic Mexican food when it's not. Would NOT recommend it and for sure I will not be back.

We LOVED the shaved beef rib caramelo, the chicharron especial and the mushroom tacos were all outstanding! Very generous portions of meat and tasty home made tortillas. The service was great, Alex was super nice and made some banging tamarind margaritas for happy hour. Definitely one of my new favorite Mexican spots in Tucson. Cute terrace with refreshing misting fans.

If you’re looking for authentic Mexican tacos, this is not the spot. Was disappointed with this place unfortunately.

Highly overpriced. Decent food but we paid $100 for two taco plates and a quesadilla with drinks.

Everything was amazing! The star of the show is obviously the carne asada, you must try at least one asada item! So good and great service, highly recommended!

Meat was delicious but bummer about no chips nor rice and beans included.

They were very overwhelmed at the lunch hour on a Tuesday.

I'm sorry but it was too expensive for the quality of the meat, very tough and very basic, the ribs had an old taste.

Casa Asada is hands down the best taco spot in Tucson. We tried the short rib, adobada, asada and the Lorenza. All of the tacos were delicious. The adobada has amazing flavor and tender meat. The carne asada was extremely tender and has a delicious mesquite char flavor. The short ribs were tender and the flavor was indescribable. You can eat the ribs of the bone til their clean. The guacamole on the Lorenzo was a perfect match with the asada. We also got the esquites were incredible and the tajin mayo was a perfect mix in. The green chile charred salsa was our favorite but all the condiments at their salsa bar complimented their food to perfection. We are big foodies and Mexican food is our favorite and we haven’t found any place in Tucson that rivals Casa Asada.
