Came here with a party of 8 on Valentines Day, we were hoping it wouldn't be too slammed but to our surprise the restaurant has plenty of open tables. Our server was kind and helped us to our table. We enjoyed the chips and salsa and some margaritas before our dinner, which got compliments from the whole table.
We went there to eat dinner and watch the game in Super Bowl Sunday. The servers were very friendly and the food was great. I had the tacos and they were excellent.
Every one of us six had something different and all food was bad. Lots of cheese all over everything. I had chile relleno. It was awful. Not going back again.
We took the red eye in from Phila, conducted some business. By 5:30,we were ready for some good food, but didn't want to drive. 300ft from our hotel was Gringo.
Lucky accident! John is an above par bartender/server. His Margaritas are among the best I've ever had!
Service was awesome as well!
We had the Happy Hour Tacos. Amazing! Homemade guacamole. I encourage both locals and visitors to give this place a try! I know we'll be back before going back to Philly!

I drive across country for my job and eat at a lot of restaurants. Never saw such disrespect for the business and cuatomers. Employees were sitting around vaping while on their phones. I witnessed 3 different customers come in, get ignored and walk back out. I had a couple of beers, left to my hotel to change and shower then came back to the same seat. . .no one had bothered to wipe down the bar where I had been. It was a terrible experience.

I lived in LA in the early 80's when a restaurant chain named "Sambo's" was called out for the racist name. Isn't "Gringo" Grill and Cantina racist just the same?
This is not a restaurant that you want to go to. The dining room was dark (no lights on) and vacant. We believed it to be closed - the bar area was open. We left and went to another restaurant.
We hesitated to eat here after reading several negative reviews…but decided to eat here for the convenience of a restaurant in the hotel.
We were greeted immediately and seated. After a short wait, we placed our order. Chips and salsa were basic chips and salsa—exactly as advertised.
We ordered the carne asada burrito and both enjoyed it. We felt that the price point was good for the convenience of not leaving the property.
The only negative I can say is the lightbulbs that flickered throughout our meal and the patron who was yelling and swearing about politics.

The server was great, food was hot and delicious. It's unfortunately that the restaurant is underutilized.
Sat in bar for drinks & appetizers. Received no recognition so flagged down bartender for menus. Had chips/salsa & mini chemis. The chips were out of a bag (not good) and salsa unimpressive especially for being a Mexican restaurant. Mini chimis were absolutely horrible - soggy outside luke warm meat. Ate half of one & was over it. Enjoyed the margaritas. No one asked how things were. No one checked in. Every time the bartender spoke to us we felt rushed & that we were bothering him. Won't ever return (waste of time & money) & don't recommend. I think they're still in business due to location next to a hotel. STAY AWAY

I wish I can review the service but I didn’t get any. We were a party of three and we sat ourselves, as they didn’t give you options of letting someone know you were there. We sat at a table on the balcony. After waiting for 20 minutes and no one asking us if we wanted to eat anything. We got up and walked out. Much nicer places to eat in Tucson. Save your time and money.

Was looking forward to eating at the place but was very sadly disappointed ☹️. The Spanish rice was very hard and crunchy and undercooked. It had no flavor. The beans were mushy and dark and again no flavor. Be cutting this out of burrito was okay but was overtaken by too much guacamole. Don't think I would be going there again
