Hacienda Del Sol Estates

I cannot express how disappointed I am in the staff and management team at Terraza Bar - apart of Hacienda del Sol. I called on 1/20 to make a reservation for 7 guests for 1/22 at 5:30pm. They said, no problem. Made the reservation. I gave them my card to have on file for them to charge in case of cancellation. My RSVP went up, so I called on 1/21 to adjust that reservation to 15 people. I was placed on hold while the hostess connected with the manager on duty. She said, we can adjust your reservation to 15 guests but will need to charge you $250 if you cancel. I said, no problem, as we will not be cancelling. She asked if it was a special occasion. I explained it was a work happy hour, where we would be ordering drinks and appetizers off the menu. She said, okay great, I have you down for 15 people at 7pm on 1/22. I said no, it's for 5:30pm, we do not want to change the time only adjust the reservation to 15 people. She said, "oh, sorry, I meant 5:30pm." We hung up. Thursday, 1/22, my colleague arrives at 5pm to let them know she is the first to arrive for our reservation at 5:30pm. They tell her, oh sorry, that reservation was cancelled. She calls me and explains. I relayed to her that I never cancelled the reservation. Management got involved. They seemed more concerned with who was at fault for the reservation being cancelled (obviously an issue on their end) than they were for allowing us a space / table. After nearly 30 minutes, they gave us a table that was directly near the DJ. We could not hear one another. When my supervisor asked to be moved, they said the only space available was outside on the grass, where servers would not come and serve our group. My colleague had to run inside back and forth to the bar to grab food and drinks and serve our group herself!! Half way through our happy hour, a manager came up with a tablet and showed us that the "reservation had been cancelled via Open Table." Seemed a little funny to me, since I did not use Open Table to cancel my reservation, I called the restaurant directly. I understand that human error happens. What I don't understand is how a restaurant of such high caliber would rather run around and play the blame game, and make up an entire cancellation story to try and... save themselves? Try to place blame on me? I am not really sure, the whole situation was quite baffling and incredibly unprofessional. We were planning on hosting a $10k event there in the future and due to the awful experience we encountered for our FIFTEEN PERSON RESERVATION, we will be finding a new place to hold our event and any future meetings, happy hours or dinners. Very disappointed in management and their inability to problem solve, or properly train their hostesses so that this situation does not happen.

I can't say enough about this hidden getaway. Great food! Cutest southwestern rooms, amazing spa treatment (wonderful facial), beautiful views everywhere you look! But the staff, they were all just incredible! Every single one with smiles on their faces and so helpful and accommodating. I have severe respiratory problems and they valet'd me everywhere I wanted to go on the property. They checked on me and were so kind! Have to give a shout-out to my guys Jerry and Keith in valet!! Thank you so much! Staycation spa weekends are my thing and I've been to many! This is my new #1!!!

We have been going to the restaurants at the Hacienda del Sol since we moved to Tucson in 1997. The food has always been very good. The service last night at the Terraza Restaurant was extraordinary with help from the wait staff and the GM Mr. Grayson. He was so accommodating of our friends at dinner with some hearing issues. Very disappointed in the food at the Grill. Four out of 4 meals were poorly prepared. Osso Buco was over-cooked, as was Halibut. King salmon had a mushy, not flaky texture. Accompaniments were also poorly prepared. Forbidden rice cold and undercooked. Polenta had been cooked earlier and reheated. A couple years ago lunch was delicious but things have really gone downhill!

This place is a hidden gem. I would give it 100 stars if I could. It is so beautiful here. Everyone is helpful and friendly. My reading glasses broke and the woman in the gift shop lent me hers during my stay. I have been to many resorts and this one blows them all away. I can’t wait to come back.

Delicious lunch in exquisite surroundings.

A beautiful and exceptional resort that deserves 5 stars across the board. First off, the employees here are so friendly and inviting. The rooms are beautiful, the views are beautiful, and the food at the Grill was so delicious! Our room overlooked the mountains and had an outdoor shower which we loved. There are three pools, all with a splendid view of the beautiful Tucson mountains. Restaurants were about a 10-15 minute drive so the location is perfect! Cannot recommend this place enough!

My family and I are traveling across the US and we decided to stay here for the night. I wish we were staying longer, as it was so comfortable and gorgeous. Room was so clean and comfortable. We had dinner at the grill there and Michelle was our waitress. She was so wonderful, and so sweet. My kids loved her! Overall, we enjoyed our shot visit, and wish we could’ve stayed longer. Hopefully, we will be back.

This was a mother/ daughter trip.. it was so relaxing, such a beautifully serene environment.. Exceptional service. Quality. Great prices. I'll definitely return. Very happy guest! My daughter enjoyed the pools and spa.. I enjoyed the historic charm and history.. the beautiful grounds, desert scape and mountains! The adobe style casitas. Just gorgeous.

Beautiful place. Very clean. Staff was the best. Everyone asked if you needed help. Two very good restraunts. 3 pools. Beautiful courtyards. Metal Art everywhere. The room had seperate sinks. Walk in shower. Private balcony. We didnt want to leave.

Preparing for surgical after care, this room was recommended by the surgeon and I am so happy I was able to book it. They when out of thier way to accommodate my son being able to check in for me and breakfast service was excellent

The only problem with our stay at Hacienda Del Sol was that it wasn’t long enough! The service, food quality, atmosphere, cleanliness, and rooms were outstanding. The staff was incredible from the moment the valet open the car door to the minute we were waving goodbye on our departure morning. We would highly recommend Hacienda Del Sol!

Trust this team and this hotel - you will not be disappointed. It gets better every year! Resort is spotless, the team is on top of everything and always available to handle any issue. Food is especially good and inventive. Service staff are extraordinary in their attitude and willingness to get things right. Pricey but worth it.

Stay was excellent and the historic and ethnic beauty of the resort is very enchanting. Very peaceful and great atmosphere. I stayed because of an event I had to attend in Aug 2023 . And many places like downtown was close and accessible
