Got here first thing in the morning and ordered a brownie, gluten free chocolate cake slice, cinnamon roll, oatmeal cream pie, ham and cheese croissant, and a chocolate peanut croissant. Everything was absolutely delicious. Even the gluten free cake - which I was skeptical about as I've not had the best experience with gluten free pastries. I will 100% be returning here.

Every time I try a pastry from Houlden’s my mind is just blown. The lamination achieved is better than any non-vegan product I’ve tried. The buttercream is so silky with the perfect hint of salt. They’re always putting out new baked goods which span the spectrum of sweet and savory so there will be something for whatever mood you’re in. We recently moved back to Tucson and are so happy to see the bakery is flourishing. You would think when a business adds more options that the quality may start lacking in certain areas but the exact opposite has happened here - pure perfection only. There’s an exceptional amount of talent here! This isn’t just a 5-star vegan bakery - it’s a 5-star bakery all around!

I don’t think I’ve ever had such an amazing and absolutely delicious experience at a bakery before. And I am definitely a pastry/bakery fan. Not only is absolutely everything you choose, beyond delicious but all of the people that work there are always so kind and welcoming. I didn’t even know that all of the pastries were vegan because I am not a vegan, they are absolute best pastries I’ve ever had. So many selections including savory and sweet and even gluten-free options. I come here way too much if that’s even possible. The menu changes from week to week and it keeps you coming back.

Houldens has the BEST vegan pastries I’ve ever had. I live on the very east side of Tucson and find myself driving far lengths to find their goodies more than 3 times a week. I can’t recommend them enough!
After today’s menu I HAD to update my review and share that the vegan shepards pie danish changed my life. Not to be dramatic, but it was so delicious and I’m still thinking about it. Highly recommend!!!

We ordered a bunch of things at Houlden’s this morning, We’ve only tried a few things, but everything so far is delicious. We tried a chocolate hazelnut croissant and a chocolate cronut. We still have a number of other items to try out. They have a selection of savory items but we didn’t get any of those thinking we’d be going to lunch somewhere. That was a mistake! I definitely recommend this bakery as a stop while in Tucson!

Houldens has the best croissants in tucson, it does not even matter that they are vegan. If you have not had their goodies yet then you really must try them as soon as possible. If this location is closed, check out one of the places that they deliver to daily - the korean rose has the most flexible operating hours and they tend to have pleanty even at the end of the day.
Their staff is kind and knowledgeable about food ingredients as well as allergens.
I'd come here every week if it wasn't so far! Sometimes, I go to the locations they deliver to, but they don't have anything on the NW side.
Update: ....I do come here every week 🤣 sometimes twice.
AMAZING!! Literally, EVERYTHING I've gotten from here has been FABULOUS. From the strawberries and cream croissant, to the banana danish, even the herby biscuit was next level delicious!! If you're a fan of oatmeal cream pies... You will never touch another little Debbie's if you taste their's! The Brownie... its STUPIDLY tasty, and if you put it in the oven for 5 mins, it's a wrap! I definitely could go on about everything I've experienced, but you shouldn't take my word and just go try Houldens for yourself. I promise you won't ve disappointed!!
