Really great casual Japanese food spot with a ton of great options. My favorite is the tonkotsu ramen but you really can't go wrong there.

The food here is amazing. Get it to go or eat informally in the small restaurant. Thoroughly enjoyed every bite.

I got the Udon with extra fish cake and a little red bean bun for dessert. The noodles were amazing! Springy and soft, perfectly chewey. The broth was also delicious, just a little fishy with all the naruto. Seaweed and spring onion were good too. Only complaint is the portion! The fatty in me wanted another bowl!
It was a bit crowded inside but if I had known there was outside seating I would've enjoyed the cool night with my hot udon. Definitely recommend!

Ikkyu has been our family's go-to for almost 10 years! We absolutely love the place, vibe, and most importantly the wonderful people that make it the beautiful place it is. Thank you so much!

Two people within 30 minutes told me to try this place out. They did not disappoint! Took spicy ramen to a sick friend and it was a huge win! Everyone should try this place!

Great food.
Bento boxes are delicious with good variety of food.
Ramen is not good. Not a fan of thick noodles. Broth is a bit boring. Chashu could use a sear.
Bit unsanitary seating.

Wife's coworker recommended the spot. Food we requested is not what we ordered.
Wife gave to visitors at home, instead of taking back.

I can’t review the whole menu, but when it comes to the tonkatsu ramen and the Spicy tuna don volcano style, 5 stars. Every single time I order either of these I know exactly what I’m getting and it always hits the spot. Besides the restaurant being kinda small I enjoy eating there when it’s not packed. If you want cozy Japanese food this is your place.

Ikkyu has been my favorite neighborhood Japanese restaurant for about the past 10 years, I always love coming here!
Massive fan of their curry rice.
It's a bit cliché, but you can really taste the history behind it, if that makes sense.

Delicious, quick and affordable. Love the workers. Traditional food, not for typical burger eating

Service is always friendly and fast. Been here many times, my favorite ramen spot in this part of town. Couldn't recommend it more. Only downside is the seating area is small. There is always takeout though. Oh and the fountain drink variety is.. lacking.
