I recently visited this restaurant and ordered ramen. While corn was listed as an ingredient, I unfortunately missed it when ordering. When the dish arrived with corn, I informed the staff of my corn allergy. Instead of offering to remake the dish, they suggested I simply remove the corn. This was concerning, as even trace amounts of corn can trigger a reaction. While the staff was polite, their solution was inadequate and potentially dangerous for someone with allergies. I suggest the restaurant consider making allergy information more prominent for those of us who might miss it in the ingredient list.
The people here are so sweet the popcorn chicken with noodles was so good!
Curry Ramen 10/10 flavor
The food was great, l am coming back.
Love this location! Food is always yummy and all of the staff are super nice! Great place for a warm dinner after work.
Extremely disappointed with our visit to JA Ramen. The portion sizes are laughably small for how overpriced everything is. I’ve never paid so much for so little food. And to make it worse, what we did get came out cold. Not lukewarm, COLD.
The service was equally bad. The cashier looked and acted like he was nursing a serious hangover based on his behavior and him wearing sunglasses, super rude and barely communicative as well. We were rung up for a side of rice, but did not receive it and they claimed we weren’t actually charged, which made absolutely no sense and felt shady.
And it's not like the place was busy or understaffed either, there were like three people inside this big restaurant.
Overall, the whole experience was frustrating and not worth the money. Cold food, terrible service, and ridiculous prices. Save your time and go literally anywhere else a cup of top ramen would be better at this point. And if I was any more confrontational I would have demanded a refund.
We come here EVERY Wednesday for there 12 dollar Tonkotsu Ramins sooooooo yummy! Also Las Vegas Roll is the BEST! Staff is also very friendly and the wait isnt long at all! My Favorite Ramin Spot!
Best ramen I've had in Tucson. The restaurant is very clean and the staff is friendly. The spicy miso ramen is worth the money and so is the Vegas roll.
The place is really spacious which was nice. The curry was watery but the ramen was okay. I’m used to Japanese food back in LA but this wasn’t a bad spot.
Never even got to try the restaurant. Circled 6 times trying to find ANYWHERE to park with 0 luck. Left downtown never getting to try the restaurant.

I kept trying to give this place a chance but every time, the employees make me regret ever stepping foot in here. The person who takes your order is always nice at first, but after I pay they’re rude. I’m not sure if they’re expecting a tip or what, but it shouldn’t be expected for a fast food location. The food is not too bad but not the best.
But this last time, I decided it was my last due to the stares from the employees. I ordered to go and sat at an empty table to wait. I’m not sure if I’m not supposed to do that, but there’s no sign saying I can’t sit and wait. The women working in the kitchen kept staring at me as if I had something on my face. It was very uncomfortable and not a good way to treat customers.
Ja Rawmén is a must-visit! I tried their spicy miso ramen, and it was outstanding. The broth was rich and flavorful, with the perfect amount of spice, and the noodles were cooked to perfection. The ambiance is inviting, with pleasant music that’s not too loud, making it an ideal spot for a relaxed meal. Tavita, the cashier, was friendly and welcoming, enhancing the overall experience. 5/5, highly recommend!
Went there with no expectation but the ramen was surprisingly authentic and good, a decent portion, lot of ingredients and the Cha Siu was quite a thick slice. I order the spicy tonkotsu ramen, the broth is really good and quite spicy. Price point is reasonable.
Ja Ramen: A Tucson Gem for Spicy Tonkatsu Lovers
We started with the Chicken Katsu, which was golden-fried to perfection. The chicken was juicy and tender, and the breading was nice and crispy.
For our main, we both opted for the Spicy Tonkatsu. The broth was rich and creamy, with just the right amount of heat. The noodles were cooked perfectly al dente, and the pork belly was melt-in-your-mouth tender. The portions were generous.
While Ja Ramen might be slightly on the expensive side for lunch, the quality of the ingredients and the friendly service made it well worth the price. Bring your appetite!
Amazing ramen and curry. Good music too. Don’t skip this place. It’s worth it.
