One of favorite Mexican restaurant in tucson hands down
Jason’s Mexican Restaurant at Pantano and Wrightstown is hands-down one of my favorite spots in Tucson. If you're into authentic, flavorful tacos, this place delivers big time. The carne asada tacos are incredible—juicy, smoky, and perfectly seasoned. The shrimp tacos are fresh and bursting with flavor, and the chicken tacos are tender and packed with just the right spice.
But the real showstopper? The quesabirria. I’ve had it at a lot of places, but Jason’s takes it to another level. The crispy shell, the melted cheese, the rich, savory birria, and that warm consommé for dipping—just unreal. It’s crave-worthy every time.
The vibe is casual and welcoming, and the food always comes out hot and made with care. Whether you're dining in or grabbing takeout, the quality is consistently top-notch.
If you’re anywhere near the east side of Tucson—or even if you’re not—it’s worth the drive. This place deserves way more attention. Highly, highly recommend

cozy environment and decent Mexican food highly recommend the al pastor tacos!
Some of the best Tex in Tucson, pricier but worth it for the occasional treat.

They charge $1 extra to use a credit or debit card, but the sign is on the pickup window and not the menu, so you don't know until it's too late. I got a bacon breakfast burrito, it tasted like dirty grill top and had almost no bacon. Skipping this place forever.

All the menu prices are incorrect. Update them please. Jason burrito is literally twice as much $14.50 not $7.50.

$15 five rolled tacos super expensive for a small styrofoam plate. Dined in no tray so made a mess on table. Also charged debit cards of $1. Never again.

We ordered Sonoran dogs and chicken enchiladas. The food was fantastic, and while I see some complain about higher prices, the portions are generous and every bite was delish. We’ll definitely visit Jason’s again.
