I frequently visit Tucson as I'm a traveling artist, I just wrapped up performing at a charity event & decided to have a night cap with my boyfriend and a friend who we treated to a couple drinks as well at John Henry's. Only to be harrassed by Tara the bartender asking "so what's the story?" "This is weird" while hovering & being totally accusatory but never explaining or communicating what she was insinuating. I had never visited John Henry’s, and I found it quite charming. They have an excellent choice of drinks, and the bartender was very friendly & knowledgeable. I’ll be back, John Henry’s! Also, you need an eye-catching sign that says “John Henry’s” instead of one that simply states “bar.”
Great place! Very clean and all the art is for sale with 100% of the proceeds going to the artist.
