Delicious authentic Afghani cuisine! Be sure to ask for the green chutney. It's addictive! The pistachio baklava is amazing!

This food is amazing. Before we moved to Arizona we frequented a place in Durham, NC we loved called Baba Ghannouj. We’re so happy we found this place!

i visited this place maybe last year a little bit after they had first opened up; i remember a falafel wrap that was so good, i ordered two at a time.
i recently stopped back in while doing my laundry next door and was so excited to see how they’d settled in and switched it up since my last visit !
my friend and i ordered the qabuli palaw to split, and when i say that this food was so delicious it made me almost weep, i am not exaggerating. to make something so simple as lamb and rice taste so heavenly that i had to stop and give thanks to god several times throughout the meal is an ability that few cooks can ever hope to have, but you can find that here at Kabul Corner. the lamb melted in my mouth like butter on toast. we were the only ones seated to eat at the time, but the owners were so gracious and friendly and let us take our time and hang out in the coolness of the restaurant while we waited on our laundry next door.
their selection of snacks and bulk fruits and nuts is also a really welcome addition, as you can eat your meal and then peruse the shelves to find some tasty treats to bring home with you !
i’ll also add that the size of the entrees, for the price, is absolutely unbeatable in this day & age; one entree for two people was MORE than enough for us to get our fill and STILL leave with the leftovers bagged up. if i were to order one plate for myself, that would be enough food for at LEAST 3 meals. but the food here is so delicious, it might only last for two :)
i cannot recommend Kabul Corner enough if you’re looking for a meal that will be fulfilling to your body and your soul. i’m so happy this restaurant exists

A friend recommended Kabul Corner to us, so we gave it a try. The staff are very friendly and polite. The inside is very clean. They have a market with lots of different rice and dessert for sale. The food is very tasty and fresh. The rice is something to write home about. They have vegetarian options also. We would definitely go back to this place

I’m torn about this place. I want all local businesses to thrive. I ordered the qubali palow, the menu said chunks of lamb. What I got was old lamb shank buried under rice with julienne carrots and raisins garnishing it. It was underwhelming. It was not what was stated on the menu, meaning they dumped leftovers on me. The second item was a chicken dish, can’t remember the name, it was coated with oil and the chicken was days old and dry. Maybe when it was made it was good, whenever that was. The salad that came with this was just cabbage, sliced tomato, lime wedge, and sliced cucumber(no dressing). Not sure what the intention of that was, definitely not a salad. I went to this restaurant at peak lunch time on a Saturday, and there were no customers. That should have been a red flag, but I had to try it out. I also tried an appetizer which was a thin dough filled with leeks, slightly spicy, grilled, browned in oil, came with a vinegar green sauce and yogurt sauce. It was okay. Also, some microwave heated days-old bread came with the meal, once it cooled down it was hard as a rock. Lastly, we ordered a dessert which was like a funnel cake, fried strands of wheat flour fried in oil then soaked in a rose water sugar syrup. They had this dessert pre-made in a deli case. I asked the proprietor if I ordered this would it be made fresh and fried to order, he said, yes. What we got was the pre-made item microwaved, lied to and disappointing. If I ever return here they need to really think about what they are serving. My food was days old and reheated. The place also was a store with retail goods and never understood why they mix the two, but the retail goods have been there a while. I was really hoping to get some extraordinary ethnic food. I don’t think I am returning to this restaurant because they won’t change their operations.

Luckily our group (6) had a person that knows Afghan cuisine. He ordered and the table shared two appetizers and three entrees. The portions were large, and they hot items were hot and the cold (tomatoes, cucumber, & shredded cabbage) were very fresh. They also have a market with sweets, spices and other prepackaged items. The dining area is not fancy, but is sparkling clean. We all enjoyed our dining visit to Afghanistan.

Highly recommend trying this place. The food is superb, and not something you can get anywhere else in town. In addition to the food, they have many items you can buy in the market area of the shop. We had the saffron tea which was delicious, and I would also recommend the beef boulani, teka kabob and the rice pudding for dessert. My friend had the dumplings and they were tasty and very tender as well. Everything was very fresh, and the value was very good.
