I will not be returning to this place. Take your family elsewhere. We were the only customers in the restaurant. Had only been in the restaurant for about 10 minutes when the owner said that the next time we go in and there’s customers we can’t stay because of the babies disruptions. We ended up just taking our food to go. This place is not for families based off experience. Sushi Garden has better customer service. They even have a kids menu.

The sushi at this restaurant is really good. The owners wife is really nice. The owner needs to work on his anger and frustrations. He needs to work on the restaurants atmosphere.

My fave place for a Vegas Roll, Sushi Valley, was closed so I went here instead and it was so good! Also a bit more price friendly. Delicious 😋

Honestly a really relaxing and cozy place. Very quiet. Honestly felt like we were the loudest ones in there. Sushi was by far the best. Forgot to take pics but seriously trust me. As someone who's been to Japan, Singapore, Manila and South Korea, I think I would know a thing or too about some sushi.

Customer service was by far the sweetest as well. Great for a date, a family meal, or even a little solo lunch/dinner.

It was edible. But the rice was under cooked. The rolls were bland. The edamame was unsalted. The waitress is a little grumpy. They claim to be open until 2 but turned a couple away at 115 because they said they close at 130? Will I be back? Nope. The yellowtail was good.

The best sushi in Tucson. We try to try other places but this one outranks all other sushi in town and we always compare other places to Kampai. Great quality fish, fish to rice ratio is always right, service is fast, never too packed - overall good value for what you pay.

Best sushi I have found in Tucson. Everyone can have a good night but this place is consistent. I waited to review until I had at least been here twice and it's just as good the second time. The sashimi is cut thick and it is cold. I couldn't tell you how many times I've been given warm sushi in this town.

Update 8 years later: still our go to sushi restaurant. Great people, great food.

The sushi is always good here, but they never seemed to fully return to "dine in" after the pandemic. Please bring back the booth seating and the whole restaurant. At least there's some music playing so you don't feel like everyone hears your conversation anymore.

Everything in there was clean, especially the bathrooms! The sushi was delcious, and made fresh. It was a quiet place to eat on a Tuesday night, where you can enjoy the football game on the tv and have good conversation. They didn't have the bottled lemonade when we went, but the can was a good option. We forgot to ask for sriracha, but forgot because they didn't have them set out on the tables. I recommend the sushi roll with the baked scallops. It was delicious.

I should have heeded the warnings on the reviews...but the most recent ones had 5 stars! The service was fine...the best thing we had was probably the Thai tea...that was from a can. The sushi was not good, we had a soft shell crab one that had a bitter tinge to it. We had one that was topped with spicy mayo...it tasted as though they added a tablespoon of mayo on top of the roll and there's wasn't any other flavor coming through. We ate maybe half of when we ordered. We've been to MANY sushi restaurants in many different cities and this is the first one we didn't even remotely like any of the rolls we got. We even got a crunchy roll and rainbow roll - the ons that just about every sushi restaurant has - and they weren't good. Maybe it was a bad day and they had some things go bad, but the food was terrible. We won't be going back.
