Visiting from Washington and thought I could try a more authentic Mexican cuisine. The chicken and rice was bland, the mojo and beans were canned. Highlight was the chips and salsa even though salsa wasn’t fresh. Service was ok except for the kids seemed more interested in making each other laugh by dropping things when they weren’t scrolling on their phones.

Great food. The cheese crisp are huge and superb. My family has been going here since the 1940's and it remains our go to restaurant in the Tucson area. Always friendly and efficient staff.

Been a family favorite for decades, with kind owners. The customer service on the phone is terrible and non-existent. The people on the phone had zero interest in accommodating a larger reservation (20) and made it clear they did not want the business by discouraging a reservation. They told me they “might run out of food by the end of the week so couldn’t promise anything”. I thought they were going out of business, but the person just said no, “we only order until Sunday and we are already out of a lot of things”. It was a bizarre conversation and an odd way to run a business. When I told her I would rather go someplace else, she became upset and hung up the phone. I called back to speak to a manager and only got more of the same bad attitude. It’s hit or miss here with the service. Super disappointing since it was for my mom’s 80th birthday and she’s been coming here for 50 years.
