Casual and friendly but a really high end menu and stellar service. I can see why it’s so busy on a weeknight.
Delicious

Thank you, Am Bar, for the wonderful service! I ordered calamari, oysters, and fish and chips—easily the best selection I’ve ever had. My server recommended the California oysters, and she was absolutely right. The staff were so attentive, always checking in to see how I was doing and if I needed anything. Polite, genuine, and welcoming. I’ll definitely be returning!

Let me tell you of our experience here. We dined in, 8/30/25, it was my wife's 68th B'Day.
We arrived about 4:15, we wanted to enjoy a cocktail before being seated for dinner. As we walked in, we were instantly greeted by the owner & his wife. We explained that we had reservations for 5, and we were early to catch a cocktail at the bar. They asked if we would like to be seated in the dining room and we chose that option.
Julie was our waitress. She made a few suggestions when my wife asked for a recommendation about a rum drink, Bananarama it was. She loved it! I had my usual CC & Ginger, the drink was stiff and done just the way I like it.
Appetizer time, and Julie was once again very helpful with the suggestions. My wife had the Arancini, 3 deep fried lobster & risotto balls, they were very good. I had the blackened grilled shrimp. That was the best shrimp I ever had!
For the main course, my wife had the ribs. Tender, smokey and seasoned well. I went with their signature Hawaiian Fish dish. Very nicely done, the rice & fish were a great pairing. The sweet potato chips were and exciting addition to the dish, I really wanted more of them!
Desert was the Chocolate Cake. It too did not disappoint!
The atmosphere of the dining room was unique. Open, nicely decorated, especially the main lighting fixtures.
The real magic of this place is the SERVICE (as well as the food). Everyone in that place had a job to do, they did it expertly, without compromise. It was fascinating to watch the wait staff take the orders. Then the serving staff delivering the orders to the tables, and then the wait staff came back around to verify that all was as expected.
My hats off the owners, they trained their staff well, it shines through with every encounter you have with them, and, in turn, that made for a most pleasant experience.
We will be back, and next time, I will be having the Sea Bass done with that blackened seasoning!

We are relatively new to Tucson and just visited Kingfisher for the first time. It Certainly won't be our last!
Every dish seemed well-planned and well executed. Extensive cocktail selection and all of the food we tried was delicious. Our server Gabby did a wonderful job, with great attention to detail. The white Gazpacho and shoestring fries were particularly outstanding!
We'll be back soon!

What a treat! It had been a while for me to enjoy some amazing seafood. Been landlocked high in the rockies of Colorado too long. This will be a new regular spot for me in Tucson.

I was so incredibly disappointed, i've had such fond memories of this restaurant but the quantity, a food has gone down as well as the prices have shot up.

Extremely mediocre food, especially for the high prices. The portions are small. The salmon lacked flavor and was slightly fishy. Although visually promising, the charro beans tastes like plain pinto beans. Every dish my family had needed more salt. Blackened shrimp appetizer was a mere 6 small shrimp on a single piece of lettuce (for $21), which also needed salt. According to the menu, it was supposed to be a “half pound” of shrimp. I’ve had better seafood at most chain restaurants, and for a lot cheaper.
One prop— they were quite accommodating for kids meals, even though they didn’t have an official kids menu.
