My husband & I decided to try out the Desert Diamond American Buffet in Tucson on a Wednesday afternoon due to the long line at the diner. We were pleasantly surprised and here’s why…

We each had a $10 coupon to use, so we figured it would be worth it for our first try. There was NO line and we could sit wherever we wanted instead of being brought to an undesirable table. We opted for a booth (most of the tables were out in the open, which isn’t our preference). We put our receipt down and went to see what was on offer.

Again…we were pleasantly surprised! Of the items I recall, there were: corn on the cob (which I ate, but would not recommend although my hubby liked his), macaroni & cheese, mashed potatoes with gravy if you desire, fried fish, vegetable fried rice, pirogies, beef birria, pork carnitas, flour tortillas individually rolled and wrapped, red potatoes, tri-tip steak, chicken thighs, grilled vegetables, dinner rolls, salad bar, potato salad, macaroni salad, cottage cheese, cold seafood to include shrimp, clams, and muscles. Most of these items were labeled and I know I am missing some other items.

Their desert bar had rather small yet appropriate portion pieces for you to choose from, which is good because we were full. From my best recollection, they had various jello, cherry pie, pecan pie, apple pie, cookies, hot apples, churros, cheesecake, an ice cream machine, and other colorful delights I don’t know the name of.
Our service was great. We didn’t have to ask for a refill on our drinks - Margarita was on it!

The only complaints with our entire dining experience was the deserts weren’t labeled. Now I know a thing or 2 about deserts, so it’s not that hard to tell a piece of pie from a cookie. What WAS hard, was the fact that there weren’t any signs indicating sugar free items from their twin delights. I thought the handwriting on the glass indicating each hot item was so beautiful too, so they missed the mark on this.

Also, we have no idea how much the buffet was. We used our $10 off coupon and the woman at the register told me I had enough points to cover the remaining balance.

All in all, we’ll be back. We had a delicious lunch and now that I know the desert on the first 2 tables are sugar free, we’ll just skip that area all together.
Again…it doesn’t matter & we’ll be back!

Cold chicken on the buffet. Terrible variety. Worst food poisoning if my life. Avoid at all cost.

Went for Sunday Brunch, and were very happy with the options, several of which we found to be very high quality (fried steak, tri tip, and the steak ranchero).

Pretty average buffet with limited selection. Items are hit-and-miss; the enchiladas and carved pork were decent but the rock fish had an overly fishy smell (not in a good way). Dining area is clean and well-kept.

Wow, how bad can it be? And expensive . . .VERY BAD AND VERY EXPENSIVE. We went to the Ko:Sin Ki: Seafood Buffet (Saturdays) and it was HORRIBLE. 45 minute wait (standing in line on hard floor, nowere to sit. Then the food was old, crab legs waterlogged, roast beef was shoe leather, way, way overcooked. My dog would turn his nose up at this. Breaded fish was cold and super dry. About the only thing that was good was the salad bar and shrimp on ice.As another reviewer said, save a ton of money and get much better food at Golden Corral.Ko:Sin Ki: seafood buffet, Huge disapointment. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY.

Parking: good availability of parking

I may have eaten more crab legs than I thought physically possible. I did not get much else, but it was delicious. I took away one star because, I will admit, the other dishes weren't really that amazing.

Absolutely the worst buffet I’ve been to food wise and not a very big selection of food every thing was old you could tell it’s been sitting for a while the food honestly taste worse than hospital cafeteria food!! But the only thing they had that was good was their dessert a big variety of dessert but I’m not going to a buffet for dessert so do yourself a favor and save your money n go to Golden Corral or somewhere else

Nothing tastes better than a free buffet. So glad we stopped in and signed up for the players card. We received 10 dollars towards the buffet and then after gambling received another 10 dollar voucher. I thought the food was delicious. My favorite was the churros for dessert. I’m glad so saved room for them.

Too bad that they ended midweek buffet and raised the price and won’t let you combine vouchers anymore. I guess that is why they aren’t as busy. I feel sorry for the servers whose tips have gone down sharply due to the lower volume of customers. I gamble where I eat so I guess I won’t be gambling here as much.
