The best chocolate croissants I've ever had and I'm picky about my croissants. The pastry was flaky and buttery. They have so many breads and pastries that all look AMAZING! I can't wait to try them all.
This is a tough one... I ordered two danishes one cream cheese and one chocolate. Unfortunately both of them had little to no filling, but the danish was delicious. The Opera and the lemon raspberry cake we brought home were also amazing! The folks behind the counter were not welcoming.
The Good: the almond croissant is the fresh kind filled with almond paste and it transports me back to my childhood with a single bite. They have a loving dusting of powdered sugar and they are flakey and butter and messy in the most delightful way. One of these alongside a cup of black tea at the Village Farm Gardens up the street in spring may be as close to a storybook breakfast one may get at this time of year.The BAD: This is not Princess Cake.I do not think this is genoise....
