This place was something different! We looked for something new in the neighborhood for breakfast and found this.
The place was clean, the staff was friendly. I really REALLY liked their Chilaquiles, which my wife ordered. I ordered Huevos Rancheros, which was also good! My wife enjoyed her drink (don't recall what it was).
Why I liked this place and didn't love it: The plates were served with salad (which again was different and good tasting, not what I expected with the plates mentioned). The rice on the side of my HR had cooked broccoli.
The other like not love was the salsas. Very different.
This place has options, especially vegan. If that's what you're looking for, they have you covered. Worth stopping if you're in the area.
(Anything less than 5 stars seems like the place was garbage. This was not!)

The food reviews are right, it's really good. I got the impression from the reviews though that it was only vegan and upon arrival, def not the case. Got the carnitas and it was absolutely delicious 😋. Was pricey for 3 tacos w a small salad $15. Water is not free, bottled only. Outside experience is better than inside. Counter service with open kitchen concept. Food was delivered quickly.
Vegetarian options: Plenty to choose for meat, vegan or vegetarian
Parking: Handful of spots available in the dirt lot out front, otherwise street parking.
Kid-friendliness: Kids are there but should probably sit outside
Wheelchair accessibility: Limited space to maneuver in but possible if you're wheelchair

Had two delicious vegan tacos - al pastor and mole carnitas. Also had a refreshing iced chai that was a touch of spicy and not too sweet. Staff were very friendly and gave great menu recommendations. Overall vibe is relaxed and casual.
Vegetarian options: Separate vegan taco menu, and many breakfast options offer choice between eggs and tofu.
Returning to Tucson in 2024, this is our favorite restaurant. Amazingly tasty vegetarian options - real food. Lots of different tastes in each plate. Perfect for breakfast or lunch. Their coffee's also too notch - smooth and rich tasting. The side salad had an interesting sweet dressing that i wish we had the recipe for. We are now planning our days to eat here daily till we leave town. While it's not expensive, it is delicious and unique. I wish there was one in my hometown!

This place is a gem. I had never visited La Chaiteria before and today was my first time. The flavors are the best. I recommend their chicken tamales and also the green enchiladas with squash blossoms.
