La Frida Mexican Grill & Seafood

My husband and I had breakfast for the 1st time here. It was amazing. They pay close attention to every detail. From the fresh flower with my food, to the side car of popcorn with my drink, made with a syrup they make in house. My husband's bloody mary was perfect too. Even the heart on the toothpick. Too cute. Service was exceptional. Caro took great care of us. Even recommended a drink, and it was delicious. We will definitely be back soon!

La Frida made a stellar first impression. The dishes were bursting with flavor, and the service was warm and attentive—so much so that I returned the very next day, excited to explore more of the menu. Unfortunately, the second visit didn’t quite measure up. Despite having the same server, the pace was noticeably slower. Even getting water took longer than expected, and the food took an excessive amount of time to arrive. While the initial experience was exceptional, the inconsistency on the follow-up was disappointing. Still, the quality of the cuisine makes it worth a visit—just be prepared for potential variability in service

This was an amazing find in Tucson. I must try for anybody that’s in the area! Fresh and unique flavors and some of the best sauces I’ve ever had. Andrea was an attentive and delightful server.

LaFrida was great. There were no tables available (line out the door)so we sat at the bar. Our server was Allen the bartender. He was friendly,polite and respectful. He engaged us in some light conversation and made our drinks which were outstanding.
Our food was also outstanding, presentation was great,all our dishes looked very pretty and tasted just as good as it looked.
The place is small but your not crowded. They have just the right amount of tables. It's clean comfy and pleasant...homey.
We loved LaFrida and would definitely go back next time we're in the area. If you are in the area,don't pass it up, you won't be disappointed.

Katherine, the hostess, was absolutely wonderful—warm, welcoming, and made us feel comfortable right away. Maribel, our server, was just as amazing—super attentive, friendly, and genuinely cared about our experience. They both made the visit really enjoyable and deserve a lot of credit for their professionalism and kindness.

That said, the food itself wasn’t anything extraordinary. It wasn’t bad, but it lacked the flavor and excitement we were hoping for. Still, the service from Katherine and Maribel definitely made up for it and left a positive impression overall.
