The food was delicious but my husband got violently ill hours after eating. Also, the drinks were much too strong.

Terrible Mother's day. I made reservations a week before Mother's day. Restaurant called me to confirm reservation 2 days prior. My daughter and I arrived around 11:40. My reservation was noon. The 2 attendants greeting and seating guests said they have no more indoor seating, and we will have to eat outside. She said it didn't matter if we had reservations and my daughter and I would have to sit outside in the almost 100° and eat. I was very upset. It was only 11:40 AM! Our reservations were for noon! No matter what we said, those girls refused us indoor seating! We had no choice but to get something to eat. Then, to go sit down we had to go all the way behind the buffet and thru the side doors, then 2 sets of steps out in the heat to get to the outside patio area all while carryingmy plate of food. It was so hot out there by that time of day. I felt embarrassed. I'm older, We were the only ones out there. I will never forget how La Luz treated us.

Great food. Their taco topping are unique in taste. The tortilla can be a bit too sweet though. But the presentation is gorgeous with the arugula salad.

Service was bad. Valentines special with my girl was overpriced. Food came out slightly warm. Great ambience and view but that's about it.

We had a party of 6 , 5 out of our six dishes were extremely salty. We mentioned it to the waiter. He never said a word about it. No kind of apology. No compensation nothing , overpriced food it just wasn’t good. Don’t bother.

My daughter and her boyfriend had a special valentines dinner planned at this restaurant. When the bill came they noticed a discrepancy on the price of the valentines couples package from what was printed on the menu, the menu stated the couples package was $109 per couple, the bill showed $109 per person. When the brought it up to the server she went and found a manger to handle the issue. The manager proceeded to tell them they knew the menu was misprinted and didn’t change it or bother to inform customers that this was in fact supposed to be $109 per person. After some deliberation they were able to get the price adjusted to the cost that was reflected on the menu. However this is bad business practice and very misleading, I would never patron this restaurant or refer anyone based on their experience.
We went for our team Christmas party and it was a wonderful experience altogether. The atmosphere was lovely and the food was EXCELLENT/AMAZING/THE BEST. Many thanks to Chef Devon! You are amazing at what you do! Our server Dominic was wonderful. Highly recommend!
We have been recently to La Luz with my friends and we loved it.
We had a great food. I loved my pasta with perfectly seared scallops, accompanied with a very tasty lychee martini. Our server was so attentive. I highly recommend the place, the ambience and the great service. We will definitely be back.
I had a great meal here with friends recently and highly recommend La Luz. Our server was very attentive and we felt taken care of. The food was exceptional NY strip steak was the best I’ve ever had. The bone marrow was also exceptional!

The Westin La Paloma has an absolutely beautiful setting to create a fantastic brunch experience. Unfortunately, our experience was not positive. When we arrived at 11:15, there were only 3 or 4 tables occupied inside and none outside. It took some time for the waiter to come and greet us, although he was perfectly attentive going forward. Open table enticed us to reserve for brunch, promising a "vibrant spread" including "fresh salads, succulent seafood and a variety of breakfast favorites." The buffet we experienced contained no salads of any kind, one seafood item (previously frozen shrimp), and very typical breakfast items including fruit, yogurt, pastries, bacon, sausage, home fries, pancakes, french toast, and cereal. There was also a skillet of very basic eggs benedict (with no hollandaise) and an omelet station. At best it was an average breakfast buffet with shrimp added. I'm not sure what I would have thought of the quality of the food when it was hot and fresh, but most of the hot items appeared to have been sitting under a heat lamp for some time before we scooped them up. The benedict and the scrambled eggs were on the dry side, and the french toast/pancakes were fairly cold. Although I should have gravitated to the fresh omlet station to avoid this, I think it is reasonable to expect that all of the food served will be kept hot and replaced when no longer fresh. The shrimp were about the same quality as I would expect from the grocery store, and there were really no other "lunch" items of any kind, unless you count a small meat/cheese board with crackers (where many of the edges of the cut cheese were dried out). On the whole, this was probably the worst scheduled brunch I've had in a while, albeit in a breathtakingly beautiful setting. I love the Westin hotel franchise and the setting of La Luz, so I really hope they up their game on brunch. We would really love to come back to this gorgeous environment and enjoy a satisfying meal.
