We bought two dozen tamales and they were delicious, however almost every single one had several pieces of hoja ( corn husk) that when pulled out, made each tamale crumble into pieces.

Very clean and quiet establishment. All combos are cooked to order and taste fresh and hot. The owner (at least I assume he is) is very kind to employees and customers. Would recommend to anyone for some good quesadillas or tamales!

It was suggested to me to try this place for Tamales. I was taking them to a family event outside of Az and wanted to make an impression on Tucson food...which I find amazing most times. I ordered the green and the red. I about fell on the floor when she gave me the total cost!!!I guess they think that their tamales are pretty special They are average... The green ones had absolutely NO meat in them.A coworker's grandmother brought some to sell at my work a week later and they were percent better tamales.!!Shop around ... Not worth the price here.

Twice now, I have placed my 'order to go' and have been very pleased. (I really think that they are set up better for TO GO orders rather than EAT IN. However, indeed you can eat there.) By placing my order TO GO, I asked that my items be "COLD". That way they stay fresher until I can get home to heat them up. So the half dozen Tamales and the quart of Red chile all came from their regrigerator. Sort of a no-brainer on how to order stuff when you are planning on heating it up at home. And truly their "hidden secret" is their empanadas and their cochitos. Outstanding!

Best tortillas around. Delicious burritos and such. They also sell bulk Mexican food like green chile beef and beans. Yum!

Everytime I’ve gone during the correct hours they are closed

Tortillas are fine except when you add salsa. The moisture makes your tortilla break apart. I was forced to use a knife and fork to eat. Very disappointing.

Beef tamales are good, but in half a doz, they were different sizes, 3 had less beef, and for $14.50, they should all be the same. And for that price, they should be fresh and hot.Tried it and moving on to back towards St Marys area.Adios!
