I’ve been coming here ever since I was a little girl.. let’s say about more than 20 years? I went here today with my mom to the new location on Broadway and I love the new space. We always love your tortillas, tamales, food etc. but this past visit today was the worst ever. The girl that was working the counter was helpful and kind. I asked for a quesadilla (lightly toasted) I got my food and it looked like charcoal/burnt. I went up to the male working in front of the counter on the phone. I waited patiently and told him that I asked for a quesadilla lightly toasted. He wanted to argue and said “it is, it’s like that to melt the cheese” didn’t offer to remake it until I pulled the other side of the quesadilla and it was full of burnt. He said he will remake it and comes back and says “next time tell them you want it lightly toasted” I said I “I did?” And he said “well I don’t see the issue with the last quesadilla it was FLAWLESS but here you go” and I walked out. I was shocked. Out of all my years here I have NEVER been treated like this. What’s the purpose about trying to argue about YOUR mistake? I was nothing but kind the entire time. I get accidents happen but all you had to do was apologize and remake the food and move on. I am sorry for posting this because the owners are always so kind as well as the red head lady, and the young girl working the counter today. But if I was an owner, I would want to know how my staff is treating my long term customers. I will take the extra drive to go to a different location just to avoid him.

I use to go to La Mesa Tortillas as a kid to eat or just to pick up some tortillas with my parents and I remember this place feeling very nostalgic. It’s been a good few years since I have been, but I saw a post on facebook and decided I needed to drive in to town to go eat and get some tortillas. They have since opened up a new location (just a little bit away from their old location by Home Depot) and the food, staff, and environment are great. I ordered a bean burrito which was priced at a great price and was very filling. Amazing just how I remembered. The same lady that has been working there for years still works there and it was nice to see her. Definitely a very popular spot with constant flow of customers coming in to buy their tamales, tortillas, and more. I highly recommend trying this place out if you haven’t already! :)

Very nice. Fresh tortillas in the mornings. Staff is awesome! They're moving to a new location soon on Broadway and Prudence.
Kid-friendliness: They're very family friendly.
Wheelchair accessibility: Is limited due to the size and type of building it is.

Food was good. Service, atrocious. See other reviews and let's just say my experience was the same. Won't go back even though the tortillas were good.

Drove by and thought I'd give them a try since they are right by my house. The customer service was extremely rude. We were met with an elderly Caucasian woman who was annoyed at the fact that we even stepped foot into her establishment. She began to tell us they didn't have half of the items on the menu. Not sure how true that was or if she just wanted us to leave. I will never go back there and don't recommend it to anyone unless they get new management/ owners and staff. Not sure if its a race thing but I surely hope not.

Tamales are good but on the expensive side.

Worst Pico de Gallo I've ever had. Giant chunks of canned tomato mostly..no heat, very little seasoning or onions. Beans were meh, nothing to return for. I did buy a dozen wheat tortillas, so we'll see about those.
