Very bland. I'm not sure they cook even with the usual seasonings like salt and cilantro.

Looks can be deceiving and La Placita Cafe looks like a place you'd want to eat at.
There is a noticeable unfriendly vibe from the wait staff, it's simply unmistakable. We never felt warmly welcomed or remotely valued.
Food was good but certainly not great. Aggressive portion control. Decent pricing but it's relative to the small portions.
Our visit became a bizarre disappointing experience. Assuredly won't be returning.

Good old Mexican food. Fast and pleasant. This is my favorite hidden place. Had lunch today and it was amazing. Went to Guadalajara yesterday and no comparison.

This was such a treasure! The enchiladas were terrific, the server was very attentive, and my wife and cousin enjoyed margaritas.

They say they close at 8:00 but don’t go at 7:30 because they act like it is an inconvenience since they have already started cleaning. Maybe they should close at 7:30 if they want to be done at 8:00.

We were excited to try this place after our neighbors raved about it. When we arrived there was only 1 party there. We waited for about 5 minutes before we were told to just find a place to sit, then a few more minutes for our server. Small bowl of chips and salsa almost 10 minutes later. For 4 people, we went thru chips fast. Our meal took several more minutes. We had to ask for more chips and salsa. Server never returned to table...only 3 parties including us. Then waited forever for a bill. Never asked if we wanted anything else. The hostess brought bill.
Food was very good tho.

We love love love this great hidden gem! The other restaurants in the plaza are busy and nice in their own rights, but LaPlacita Cafe is... Great. They have an intimate setting, and the Mole' Negro is just like the dishes I ate in Puebla, Mexico!!! The service is excellent, the food authentic, the parking is generous, and a special benefit: The owners are fun and have a great sense of humor! Even the menu exemplifies the cool humor of the establishment. I'm a giant fan of the real Mole', but we've also delighted in many other meals!

Dietary restrictions: I eat gluten free, and they are easily able to accommodate my needs!

Parking: The plaza seems crowded, drive around to the back! Bam! Plentiful parking very near the entrance!

The waitress put my plate way to my right like maybe it was her first day. The food was just at the start line of satisfactory.
