Todo delicioso como siempre, en especial los escargots, los mejillones, el Salmón y, por último, el soufflé grand maniere, exquisito postre
Not sure what was happening at this visit. Our reservations were for 5:30; the restaurant wasn't too busy yet. But after we ordered, we were informed that they were out of the posted fish of the day and were given an option. Also, I ordered a half bottle of chardonnay; a few minutes later I was informed that they were out of that as well. It was only slightly annoying, but not expected of a restaurant of this caliber. The food was excellent, as usual. Le Rendez-vous is one of my favorites in Tucson.
We had six small plates. What a wonderful way to try a variety of food. The entire staff was fantastic!! We highly recommend this restaurant.
Food was delicious. We unfortunately lost our server midway through the meal, but other servers were around to assist us. The soufflés were amazing. A real treat.
The best restaurant in Tucson - hands down. Impeccable service and food quality. The Sea Bass was so fresh and delicious!
The staff were all wonderful. Our waitress was very informative and patient. Food was delicious. The mini Wellington small plate was more than ample. I could have had small plates for my dinner. The pear salad was large. I love that we could share our food selections without peamnalty. Salmon entree was fresh and light tasting. Sea bass was wonderful. Creme brulee was lovely with a refreshing orange flavor. We will be back!
We are so fortunate to have this authentic classic French restaurant in Tucson! It is a gem, with great food and charming atmosphere. Servers are friendly and capable, although the kitchen can be slow at times. We really enjoy coming here! One of the best places to dine in Tucson!
Spoiled as usual. We've been their many times and are never disappointed. Not the greatest part of town. I think they may have better business in the Foothills.
Our service was absolutely terrible. The first round of bread on the table was stale.
It took forever for them to take our drink order and our main order. Then they only served half of the table and it was a long time before they brought the other food out. My husband had the Veal medallions with caramelized apples & apple brandy demi-glaze. It was literally flavorless and there was one apple in the dish. My Wellington with mushroom puff pastry and truffle sauce was boring and Lukewarm to cold in several spots. The carrots were undercooked & potatoes also needed herbs and salt.
I started going to Le Rendezvous back in the late 1989-1990’s and it was wonderful. We haven’t dined here since and Now I know why! The food Jean-Claude Berger ( original Owner ) created was authentic. Unfortunately Le Rendezvous is not good anymore.
Do not waste your money.

We had an anniversary trip to Tucson and from reviews chose this restaurant for our celebration. I made a reservation and listed the occasion on the reservation. Absolutely no acknowledgement of any kind as to why we were dining. Disappointing.
This restaurant is listed as Tucson's premier French restaurant. Our second disappointment was when the bread was delivered, my assessment of the baguette was that it tasted like oven toasted bread you'd buy in any grocery store. We only ate one piece each, what's the point of any more?
Another disappointment was the service. Most of the service was done well, but our wine was never refilled by the staff. A very minor point because pouring to refill our glasses is trivial, but it shows the lack of attention that should be provided by a high quality restaurant.
And finally, my dinner fork had one very bent tine. I didn't complain or have it replaced but this again shows the lack of attention.
On to the food! Absolutely nothing wrong here. Our salad and French Onion soup were delicious. The Chateaubriand was presented and cooked perfectly. The Souffle was amazing (the first time I've ever had a souffle that didn't fall!) and the Crème Brûlée was delicious.
All in all a fine place for a good meal, but if you want something really special consider some other options.

My wife and I visited this place a while ago with high expectations, but unfortunately, the experience didn’t live up to them. Sometimes you go to a restaurant and get a feeling of being mistreated or just pick up on a negative vibe, and this was definitely one of those times. We had to wait 15 minutes past our reservation time, and when we were seated, we were given the smallest, most cramped table in the house.
We both started with the onion soup, which was quite good. For the main course, my wife ordered the duck, and I chose the peppered fillet. The soup was pleasant, but the duck was disappointing — it was dry and seemed either overcooked or like it had been prepared earlier and left sitting too long. I ordered my fillet medium, but it came out more like 3/4 done at best. The brandy sauce that accompanied it was nice, but the portion of roasted vegetables was far too small. On the other hand, the potatoes were excellent.
Overall, the experience was just okay, and unfortunately, we won’t be returning anytime soon.
Le Rendez-vou has been my go-to place in Tucson for years. So it was very disappointing when my latest meal there was very subpar. The only thing that met my memory and expectations was the escargo appetizer, delicious as always. But the main course, the duck (what has brought me back several times), was unbelievably tough and dry, such that I could not get at least half of it off the bone. And, the accompanying vegetables were minimal and also very dry, making me think they were the leftover bits from a potato chips bag. Also disappointing was the first basket of bread we received; as is mentioned in other reviews here, it was dry and almost stale. The second basket was warm and moist, making me wonder if Le Rendezvous is recycling their day-old bread. Every restaurant has the occasional off dish, or night. I hope this was the case.

My family dined there last Thursday and I just have to say it was not enjoyable at all. I understand everyone has bad days but this was just too much. We arrived at 4pm and it took 2 hours from start to finish. The bread we were served was rock hard. We asked for more to go with our escargot and it wasn’t brought out until we were done with the appetizers, although it was more fresh. It took 45 minutes to place our entree orders. I ordered the filet au poivre vert medium and it came out well done. My father in law and his brother ordered the chateau briand and it too was overcooked, as well as the bernaise sauce being cold. We would have sent them back but by the time our server checked on us, everyone else was done with their dinner. We chose this restaurant for my wife’s birthday because she really wanted creme brûlée. Neither she nor my mother in law could even finish it due to the consistency and taste. And then it took another 20 minutes before our server asked if we needed anything else. We had such high hopes for this meal but the service and the quality was absolutely not indicative of a $415 tab, not including a tip of 15%.
